  • Kogan plus $96

  • I sill have something similar… older model…
    Over time plastic has deteriorated and antennas snapped off and I have wire springs sticking out on both units.
    In the past McDonald's plastic straw was I nice fit over this nonsense but now this option has gone too. :)

    Time to learn CAD and buy 3D printer I think.

      hey that exact same thing happened to mine. They were kept in a drawer and over time the plastic started to sweat (yah!). when I went to clean it off the antennas just disintegrated in my hand and the sprigs were sticking out like you said. No plastic item that I've owned has ever done this…weird.

      • Wait, is that when the rubbery-plastic goes sticky?

        That stuff is SUPER GROSS.

        • +1

          Nah.
          In this case the antenna cover plastic became fragile.

          I hate that sticky shit when it happens.

            @SickDmith: That is THE WORST.

            I was just going to butt in saying that, if bloke above said the plastic started to sweat (and became sticky like what I thought) is generally because of terrible quality plastics afaik.. 😅

      • Don't remember my model but looks similar
        https://www.printables.com/model/33385-rubber-antenna-for-un…

    • If you have a similar, older model it doesn't mean that it will happen to this one. And there's a 3 year warranty.

  • need a good quality pair of radios for kids, any advice is appreciated
