Favourite Mens Sneaker Brands

Curious to know what our favourite sneaker brands (with models please) are!

I've tried Veja, Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, Converse, Adidas Stan Smith, Adidas Continentals, Nike Airforce one and in all honesty the Nike Airforce one has been the only one Ive truly enjoyed wearing all the time from a comfort and looks combo POV.

What are you guys faves?

I'm over 40 so New Balance is the default sneaker.

      JV likes Dunlop KT26.

Yes, I still have 18 unworn pairs in the cupboard…

        • Comfy?

        • Unworn genuine KT26 are probably worth a lot of money now, since they were discontinued 10 years ago.

            @bargaino:

since they were discontinued 10 years ago.

            Big sales back then…

            Good investment.

    • Sketchers. The idea of tying and untying laces every day - ughh.

      • +4

I just leave my shoes tied? I don't bother undoing my laces everytime I take them off. Normally they're loose enough that I can just slide my feet in but tight enough that it's snug and won't fall off.

          This I do. (Sheer laziness).

I can just slide my feet in

This I struggle with except with the Sketchers.

Which one? The 992/993 aka Steve Jobs' favourite, or the 624 aka default dad shoe?

    • Not over 40 here but recently purchased 2 pairs of NB 1080’s after not having worn them since I was young. Comfortable, stylish and great for running. Don’t think I’m quite up to putting them into a sneans combo with a pair of light washed Levi jeans.

Adidas Ultraboosts are the most comfortable ones I've worn but I haven't tried most other brands.

Saucony triumph for running. Best shoes ever.

Brooks neutral runners fit my foot type perfectly. I haven't tried anything else for decades. Recommendations welcome.

    Whatever is on sale.

  • Depends on what you're using them for, doesn't it? Different brands & types of shoes for different function?

    • Just casual catching up with friends, to work etc

  • Whatever the cheapest special that is on at Decathlon. Never had problem with any of their home brand running shoes/sneakers like Kalenji

  • +1

I'm loving my On Cloud runners. Look smart and different and super comfortable.
Not cheap, but when I put on an older pair of Puma's they are worlds apart.
Online store is good, sizing consistent. Some older models are discounted too if you aren't fussy about the colour.

    • Oo havent heard of these! I wonder if they have shops around Melbs to try on. Thanks for the rec!

      • Only a couple, they are a premium-ish brand. In Brighton and a couple of other places. They are unique, but not as expensive as say Ecco etc.

I've just tried Brooks. They are quite comfortable too. Before Brookes, I was happy with Aspics

Couldn't afford branded sneakers growing up, once I started earning on me own until my 30s was into Reebok's, after that mainly Nike.

In 2017, they released a particular Zoom variant, liked it so much I now have several pairs in black/grey combis, few purchased brand new, most used (after Nike stopped production a year later). Have a permanent eBay alert search, when new listings pop up of good condition used pairs, mainly from the US - buy and add to my collection. Might wear this variant till I die, a perfect look n fit all around for me.

I used to be Nike/Reebok/Adidas until I bought my first pair of Asics.

Never bought any other sneaker brands since.

It is VERY important though to get the right model for your foot shape. I've tried a few different ones through the years but my original ones were the best fitting and most comfortable for my feet (I THINK it was GT2000 model). They also last me a year AT LEAST.

Maybe get them from a store where they can 3D shape your foot to see what fits best.
