According to the comments on facebook there will be a dairy free option.

UPDATE looking at Facebook chat and these seem to be selling out if icecream within an hour or two, so if you or your kids have your heart set on an icecream arrive early. It would seem the dairy free option has sold out quickly at some locations.

UPDATE 5/11 last day in Brisbane today, is also one hour earlier than previously advertised and will be at 10am

  • so whose road tripping to all these locations just to get the free ice cream?

Unless you’re hitchhiking that would be some mighty expensive icecream!

I’m 15km away from my closest and only considering as the van looks cool and I think my kid would enjoy the experience as a Bluey fan.

    I don't want a valuable lime lesson :'(

  • Be good if they were giving out stuff other than Ice Cream as well.

      What kind of stuff?

      • Maybe something dairy-free, like sorbet or similar.

apparently there is a dairy free option looking at the chat on facebook. In the photo the menu is partially obscured but I think there might be a coconut based one.

  • Do you need to cast a vote to get a free ice cream?

    • That’s what it says “show us your vote” but in reality I doubt they’d know if you’d actually cast it or not. Pretty sure they won’t be turning away children on the day. Bondi is likely to be the trickiest location because a) it’s Bondi b) it’s their first one and will be figuring out their processes c) has the shortest opening window.

      • The "show us your vote" by 6/11 is for the top 100 Bluey episodes.
It has nothing to do with the ice cream give away 26/10 - 5/11.

"On Sunday 19 November, Bluey will be taking over the ABC Kids channel from 6am as we count down the top 100 episodes as voted by those who know them best – you and your family!
Vote for your favourites by Monday 6 November."

        It follows on with…
"PLUS, if you’re in the area, come and check out the Bluey Fest ice cream van to grab a FREE character-themed ice cream"

        • I think you’re being a little too literal. The purpose of the icecream van tour is to promote Bluey Fest voting and Bluey Fest itself. A lot of their social media posts say “don’t forget to vote” “show as your vote” in relation to the icecream van. Like I said above, you’ll get your free icecream whether or not you vote, but the entire thing is around engagement with Bluey Fest so they’d like you to vote. So the icecream has everything to do with Bluey Fest and the voting, it’s all part of the same marketing campaign. Bluey Fest wouldn’t have registered with me if I hadn’t seen the ice cream van post.

I asked my 4yo “what’s your favourite episode of bluey?” and he said “ALL OF THEM!”

          • @morse: Voting is separate & not necessary at all for this Deal.
So "Cast your vote here to be eligible" in Deal is misleading.

The Bluey Fest ice cream van tour is first to promote the upcoming showing of the favourite episodes.
Then get people to vote on their favourite episodes to show. Voting closes after the tour.
            Not the other way round.
