Good deal, got stuff last time and the freebies were decent. Got a picnic mat among other stuff

Nice! just bought a bunch of QV Cream for the kids who has eczema

    • +1

Anything specific that you can recommend?

      What about sunscreens?

      • I just got the QV Cream 1KG

      • I too am very curious about the sunscreens

        • I like their Azclear moisturizer with SPF 30.

          • @caperite: They've changed formulas. Old formula was great (I'm finishing up my last bottle), but new formula has white cast and pills.

        • Welp I ended up getting both the sunsense performance and comfort. Summers going to be hot

My daughter was just diagnosed with eczema a couple of days ago and we saw a good dermatologist.
She recommended QV Gentle Wash (at the very least make sure soap and fragrance free) and for moisturiser CeraVe moisturizing cream. Try to moisturize twice a day, making sure to get everywhere including in between toes etc.
I didn't ask about sunscreens but I will add that to the list of questions as we are going back in four weeks. If anyone else has any questions comment them and I may ask and report back (might as well @ $220 for 15 minutes).

Best type of sunscreen to use?
Will a humidifier or air purifier help?
        Any recommended vitamins or supplements?

        • Thanks for offering!

I would like to ask what's the best type of sunscreen to use for sensitive skin?

        • Can you help me to ask a couple of questions? My boys both suffer eczema, and I also have sensitive skin from time to time, very seasonal. Should I apply barrier cream on my kids? There are mixed information about barrier cream on the Internet (of course!).
Most importantly, what are the differences between the products that market as "barrier cream" and moisturiser?
          Thanks in advance.

          • @imagine1437: For a barrier cream we use dermeze. We were told to use that.

            So many mixed responses though,

          • @imagine1437: Just rub QV cream or QV cream with ceramides (purple one, with a less viscous cream)

      • We tried all the creams and 'Cetaphil Pro Eczema Prone Skin Restoring Moisturiser 295ml' worked the best. Expensive but it did the job for us.

Don't forget to stack with the QV rewards cashback. After spending $50 you can receive $5 cashback.

    • This is a great find! Thanks!

    • Do you need to forward the reciept to their email to collect the stamps??

      • +1

That's what I did and the next business day I got a confirmation. Otherwise you can download the app and use it to upload receipts.

        • Which email address did you send your receipt to please?

    • I can't log in to the My QV app with the new account that was created on the QV website when I made the purchased.

      Is the account linked?

      • +1

From what I can tell they aren't linked. I signed up separately

  • +2

Not a fan of the QV body range, but I gave their QV Dermcare Stingfree Ointment and was pleasantly surprised. It's like vaseline except better as it dries.

Does leave a bit of a greasy/oily finish, but it goes away after a few hours.

I have really dry, flakey skin that weeps from eczema and I found this to be useful for slugging my face at night. Have found a few more pimples than I normally have, but would chalk it up to me also combining this with the Cetaphil moisturiser.

Recommend this if anyone else suffers from dry skin has sensitive skin. I would also say to look into the Dermacare range a bit more as I've heard good things.

    • Have you ever tried taking a zinc supplement for your eczema?

I used to have pretty mild symptoms compared to what you describe, around my joints and clothing contact areas, but taking a zinc supplement really helped clear it up.

      • Down some aphrodisiac oysters

    • If you've tried it before, how does it compare to the QV Intensive Body Moisturiser?

      • +1

        QV Intensive Body Moisturiser?

This is way too greasy and thick. Good for really dry skin

        • Cheers. I've been using it for over 10 years :D. Curious to try the Dermcare product - bought one.

Use code SIGNUPEGOESHOP10 for an extra 10% off!

    • +1

      Says invalid

      • +3

Said invalid for me but then a signup email came through and then it worked?

        • How did you make it work? I tried signed up but still saying it's invalid:(

          • +1

@GG7: Have you received an email titled "Your eShop account has been created.”?

            • @hymio: Haven't received this email yet, how long did it take to arrive for you?

              • @nacl600: Around 15mins I think?

                • +1

@hymio: Whoops, didn't realise ego eshop and qv rewards had seperate accounts.

  • Can't add to cart :(

    • Might be too many people, I keep getting request limit exceeded error :(

  • +1

Website is getting Ozbargain'd to death…

  • +4

Its just 40% off store wide, not a further 40% off as stated in the title . Am I missing something ?

      • Surely not!!! I stopped at $89!

      • Spent over $100 and no extra 40%, prices are as labelled

    • +2

      The title has 2 parts:
1st- 40% off QV Products, discount already applied to prices
2nd- Bonus freebie or sample when you spend over $100

…Ah I see your confusion now. The word further seems unnecessary and confusing

      • Thanks, that’s what I thought . I was super excited when I saw “further”. That would have been an unbelievable deal !!

  • +1

Yeah don't get it, checked out with $102 worth, nil additional 40% off?

  • good one, you broke the website

  • +2

Thanks got 10x Intensive Creams 500g! Bargain!

  • +1

    Can't buy anything.
    Website is stuffed

    • Yeah I've been trying for the last 10 mins

      • +1

Just got in and ordered. Keep trying

  • +8

Earlier today I found I got a "request limit exceeded" error - it was because I'd been button mashing the cart and my IP had been blacklisted. I waited about an hour for it to time out, but eventually used a VPN to reconnect to the shopfront and managed to check out that way.

If you don't have access to a VPN maybe try your mobile (using it's mobile data) instead of your home Internet connection.

Didn't use the 10% coupon above because I didn't know about it, however used this promo: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/806484

  • Added $100 worth of items to cart, was offered free gift of QV Gentle Wash 40g. Is that it for the gift, or is there something else?

    • I think it's a bug. I got this too, but it adds the dollar amount to the basket so I don't think that's the free gift

      • It was listed in my cart as free so no problems there for me. @10101010101 mentioned they got a picnic mat from it in a previous event, so wanted to confirm if it seemed like the free gift is now just that.

        • I hate buying extra just for the free gift but I might buy extra just for the free gift. I hope it's good.

  • The coupon code "SIGNUPEGOESHOP10" is not valid.

    • +1

maybe you need to sign up then use? Just tried and I'm correct. Need to sign up first before you can use code

  • +1

lol this website is crashing.. 'Request limit exceeded' on mobile, and on desktop items aren't even adding to the basket

    • +1

I think website is fine, as per comment above, some issue with IP blacklisting.

I had to get everything in card, switch to VPN (or new IP) and then checkout and it worked fine.

      • Not trying to be aggressive, but if I need to get through a VPN to make an order because EGO thinks getting 8 items to a basket is a DDOS attack, then it's a website problem.

        • +1

Just wait 20 or 30 min. Mine was ok after.

          • +1

@tikei: I made the order via VPN. Had to connect to two different locations because I tried to add 8 seperate items..

        • Salesforce doing Salesforce things

        • Can just use mobile data (turn off wifi). Worked fine for me, after getting the same error on desktop

  • +3

Yes, re all above comments on "request limit exceeded". Three way to resolve.
    1. turn off home wifi, simply use mobile network
    2. wait for about 30 minutes after initial purchase
    3. VPN

I tired the first two worked for me. I also used boss lady's phone. My boy lives on Baby Qv cream…

  • +8

Tried to make the OzBargain community proud.

Just bought $190 worth of products for $114. It is stuff that I will need for the family over the next year or so anyway.
    Minus 10% = $102

Sign up for the QV rewards cashback too. It's 2 stamps for every $5 spent in the first 30 days. So that’s 40 stamps, which is 4 lots of $5 cashback.

    102 – 20 = $82

Plus Free QV Gentle Wash 40g
Plus 3 Other Free Samples that they select
Plus, hopefully free other gift *** whatever that is

    • +1

Nice. I posted the rewards info in separate thread before your post. It's not bad, especially for new users of their rewards app.

    • Nice, where does it mention about the other 3 free samples?

  • keep showing Request limit exceeded

    • -1

Same for me, I think you'll just need to come back in a few minutes

  • +1

    This is the way.

    • +1

      Username checks out.

  • +2

You need to sign up for an account before checkout to use the SIGNUPEGOESHOP10 coupon code

  • +1

Thanks got a couple of the 1KG QV Creams, best cream for me after my favourite sorbolene cream got discontinued from Woolies.

  • +1

QV is no longer premium but rather another (decent) supermarket brand. Woolworths are now selling most of their products. Ego's unprecedented heavy online discounting also confirms that they are losing market share, and need to alter their marketing strategy and business model to sustain themselves.
After not really having much success with QV products for my daughter, I switched to Cerave. It's been a good switch.

    • +2

I've also made the switch to cerave cream and found that it worked a lot better for my eczema.

    • +1

Have you tried the Dermcare line? It has ceramides as well as niacinamide. I'm a cerave fan but I still like the Dermcare cream as a cheap alternative to Cerave's PM facial moisturising lotion as it has similar active ingredients (niacinamide, 2 ceramides) and comes in a 350ml pump bottle. If you have dry skin, the dermcare cream is fine on the face. In comparison, Cerave PM lotion has one extra ceramide but it's around $20 for 52ml. Cerave's non-face lotions in the big bottles/jars do not contain niacinamide.

        Will give em a go

site getting ozb'd again with the morning crowd this time…

Edit, mobile Chrome worked where the desktop kept erroring out, limit exceeded msg…

  • The baby bundle is quite worth it ($41) for free Muslim wrap and thermometer

  • +2

YMMV: 1L skin lotion at $16.79 mean CW's 1.25L version (19.99) is cheaper

    • +1

with the 10% code at checkout is about the same.

      • +1

Plus: free delivery, bonus gift & cashback makes this a no brainer, to try their products from this deal.

  • Well, that didn't go well.
Got some items I wanted, got offered some nice freebies only to get the 'request limit exceeded' message. Managed to get back into my account and the item I wanted most is no longer on the site.
    C'est la vie.

    • what was that

    • Strangely, I went back into my account and my basket came back with all the items I wanted.
I could not get past the shipping info page, always getting a message saying something went wrong and to try again later.
I decided to use my mobile phone (wifi turned off - I'm at home), logged into my account and was able to complete the transaction.
I've received the confirmation emails with proper discounts and freebies listed. Now to hope the order can be fulfilled.

  • Initially at checkout i was not able to use the coupon SIGNUPEGOESHOP10, as above suggested i created an account and waited for the email saying it had been created. At this point i logged in and then started getting the limit exceeded message.

I turned on the vpn for Melbourne, went to the home page of ego, still in my account, then back to the basket, added the coupon SIGNUPEGOESHOP10 and it worked. I was then able to check out and complete the order.

  • Not working for me, error msg , tried different browsers as well

    • +1

      Worked, finally

      • What did you do? Hv been trying for the past 30 mins with no luck

Edit - mobile internet on chrome worked, just disabled home wifi on phone

  • +1

Great, will buy. With the additional 10% and cashback it's worth it. Otherwise for certain things, with just the 40% off it's about the same as CWH.

  • +1

"Request Limit Exceeded" can't check out for now..

  • +1

    Sigh…still “request limit exceeded”…

  • +1

using VPN, was able to check out … Thanks to ppl who mentioned this earlier
