Please Note: An Optical Audio (TOSLINK) cable is not included with the WR320. To use with your optical audio devices like a soundbar, please use your soundbar's original TOSLINK cable. The WR320 requires a 2.4Ghz Wifi network to use Multiroom functions. Please ensure devices are connected via 2.4Ghz not 5Ghz to control them through the app.

Create A Wifi Multiroom Speaker System With Your Current Speakers
The WR320 is a powerful Wifi and Bluetooth adapter to convert all manner of Audio outputs (Speakers, Soundbars, Home Theater Set-Ups) in to wireless home audio devices. Once the WR320 is connected to an audio output you can play apps such as Spotify or TuneIn wirelessly, as well as through multiple speakers in different rooms provided they are in Wifi mode!

Wifi mode lets you connect all your wifi-enabled speakers together in one app, with the WR320 adding wired speakers or soundbars to your wireless audio system. Each WR320 converts one speaker or wired speaker system.

Wireless Home Theater Systems With Stereo Control
By adding your home audio system to the wifi and connecting the Legacy Player app, you can configure and control your entire home from your phone or tablet. You can even have a dedicated tablet on a wall mount and use it as a 24-hour control panel for your home audio.

The app allows you to choose which channel (left, right, mono) each individual receiver outputs thanks to the stereo transmission over high-speed Wifi and stereo AUX cable or Optical TOSLINK.

The "line in" option is great as it allows me to play vinyl through the rest of the house.

You can manage your speakers remotely and change their volume or stereo output settings on the fly, so you don't have to worry if the Left channel speaker end up on the right side of the room! Simply change them around in the app and sound direction will be restored.

New App Version And Set Up
The WR320 has recently migrated to the Legacy Player app. For customers with an older WR320 still using the August A-Link app, please switch to Legacy Player if your device becomes incompatible.

The legacy player app is available for Android and IoS devices enabling everyone to outfit their home with multiroom speaker system regardless of your current brand. Legacy player set up will need access to your wifi network if you want to use the multiroom functionality.

To connect a WR320 or a Wifi speaker like WS350 to the network simply launch the Legacy Player app and add a device over Wifi. Connect to the device's own local wifi network, and then input the name and password of your home wifi. The device will now be synchronised and have the details saved, so can connect to your Wifi whenever you need.

Using Without Multiroom
If you do not want multiroom functions you may play audio via AUX in and Bluetooth inputs. This allows you to use cabled bypass or wireless Bluetooth pairing to play your audio through the connected speaker or soundbar. This type of connection will not allow multiroom and stereo settings and will instead use the WR320 as a standard Bluetooth adapter.
