I got the fold 5 512gb for $832 directly through Samsung. Amazing phone for the price. I agree the recommended retail price of $2700 plus is ridiculous.

The annoyingly narrow outer screen is prob why. Would have bought at launch if it had been a more usable aspect ratio, like Pixel Fold

Out of interest. I can order through samsung app and I have an old iphone 7 plus to trade in but screen is cracked. If I claim a trade in of $600 but don't send the phone (as screen is cracked), can they revert the $600 trade in amount? Samsung customer service is telling me they will (but she doesn't sound like 100% sure).

I saw a Galaxy Fold in the wild recently. My god the screen was banged up and the crease was massively bigger than I had seen in the reviews!
Seems like a phone that is great to take out of the box and do a YouTube review all shinny, but won't last long as a daily driver. I was considering one, but that really put me off. Any owners want to chime in?
Fold 4 is over a year old and perfectly fine aside from an inner screen replacement, which is covered under warranty (3 replacements in 24 months you can claim)

Don't invest in the Flip series. Decided to make the switch to Flip4 after owning the S series for years. The build quality is god-awful, already had to send my phone in for repair twice (during 5 months of ownership) because of the same issue (https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-z-fold-z-flip/z-f…). 1st repair they've fixed it free of charge but now they're expecting me to pay $418 (after a generous $100 discount lol) to reattach a rubber piece. Can't wait to switch to a normal phone again.
Did anyone end up getting it to stack with the trade in bonus? My local store is willing to try it with me tomorrow, but they aren’t sure if it will work, and I don’t want to waste my time or theirs if it definitely doesn’t work
