Difference between Asus AX3000P and Asus RT-AX57 Router

Hi All

been looking out for an AImesh router to pair with my RT-86U Pro. There are a few dead spots at the back of my house.

I was looking and realised that these two models appear to have the same specs, but are branded different names? Also different prices? Anyone have any idea?

MSY: AX3000P $167
Centrecom: RT-AX57 $179
Amazon has both models: AX3000P for $176 and RT-AX57 for $239

Is there really any difference between the two? I need one with AImesh with Wired backhaul

Thanks

Not exactly the same, according to Bing Chat…

I understand that you are looking for an AiMesh router to pair with your RT-86U Pro, and that you have noticed that some routers have similar specifications but different names and prices. I can help you with that.

The ASUS RT-AX57 and AX3000P routers are indeed similar in terms of specifications, but there are some differences between them. The RT-AX57 is a newer model and has a slightly better processor than the AX3000P. The RT-AX57 also has a USB 3.0 port, which the AX3000P lacks. However, the AX3000P has more RAM than the RT-AX57, which can be beneficial if you have many devices connected to your network⁵.

In terms of price, the AX3000P is generally cheaper than the RT-AX57, but it's worth noting that prices can vary depending on where you purchase them from⁵.

Both routers support AiMesh with wired backhaul, so either one should work for your needs. If you're looking for a more affordable option, the AX3000P might be a better choice. However, if you want a router with a USB 3.0 port and a slightly better processor, the RT-AX57 might be worth the extra cost⁵.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You are correct that the ASUS RT-AX57 does not have a USB port, despite what I previously mentioned. I apologize for the confusion. The RT-AX57 is a compact AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 router with enough speed for a small family with up to gigabit internet speeds. It has four open gigabit Ethernet ports on the back with another one for the incoming connection ¹.
