To be honest I didn't check ebay.
I have had some pretty bad experiences with buying expensive gear on ebay.
This will be my second escooter (first was dead in 12 months I purchase factory direct from China) so I wanted something I could (hopefully) return easily if there is a problem.

      • True, dont buy from Ebay and if you can try to get them from Amazon AU

      • I bought a refunbished F30 off eBay that came with a dud battery. After some complaining I got a brand new one - and $50 back. Win some lose some I guess

    • $1,255 is a great price, but it makes no mention of warranty.
Segway online has upped their game and now offer 2 year warranty.
I did contact allphones_online eBay store about their warranty almost a year ago and they said they offered a full one year warranty directly through Segway Australia.
So now that Segway is offering 2 years warranty, their dropshippers such as allphones_online, Mobileciti etc "may" have the same 2 year warranty.

  • Wow, that's some awesome deals.

I just saw some youtube reviews. They do seem pretty large these days.

    Regular Price $2,199

Who paid that much for an e-scooter ??????

By the way, their previous regular price was $1699, not $2199

    • Your webcache is from the $1699 flash sale 4 days ago. What about the price prior to the sale?

      • What about the price prior to the sale?

        What was it?
But more importantly, what does the ACCC say about strikethrough pricing???

        • What’s a reasonable period will vary in every case, but if you can’t show sales at the original ‘was’ price, then using ‘was/now’ pricing for that product is risky, because it’s likely to be misleading. https://www.accc.gov.au/about-us/media/social-media/transcri…

Hence, unless you are in a position to know the sales data, you have nothing but speculation (and an opportunity to raise a complaint with the ACCC and regulators).

          • @twocsies:

            you have nothing but speculation.

Not if it is deemed misleading by a reasonable consumer…

            • @jv: It seems reasonable to me to assume that Segway was able to sell a number of Segway scooters for a higher price than other distributors, and that they would have enough sense to follow the law on was/now pricing. However, large retailers have been caught out on this issue before.

              • @twocsies:

It seems reasonable…would have enough sense to follow the law

Reasonable, perhaps, but doesn't mean it happened…

                I can't see that they've recently sold it for $2199 anywhere….

    • But it was originally $2,199 when it first came out. I remember as I was considering buying it, but I decided on buying the Segway P100S instead.

      • But it was originally $2,199 when it first came out.

That's irrelevant according to ACCC advertising laws.

        • Then you re-word it as "original price $2,199"!!

  • amazon still hasnt shipped my order from 3 mos ago despite having it in stock.

Someone is probably using it to ride around their warehouse.

        Gotta go fast

  • Pros and cons of G65 and P65A

    • No suspension on the P65A

      • allphones ebay seems to show suspension on the p65a. May be an error

      • What makes the P65A more expensive?

        • +1

It has RGB lights, so appeals to gamers.

  • who tf is that GT2 meant to market with? 'I wanna fang around, but I also want to slag off dezza in his navara while doing it' ??

Privately owned e-scooters are not allowed on NSW roads or road related areas (including in trial areas). You must be 16 years old and over to use the trial's shared scheme e-scooters. You are limited to riding at 10km/h on shared paths and 20km/h on the road.

Yup, factor in a possible $2,500 fine to the cost if you ride one in public in NSW, and dont think it "cant happen to me", i now know 2 people who got done, they dont just hit you with one fine, no….they hit you with 4 infractions at once, in a maximum learning potential moment….

Worlds most expensive scooter when you get done….

And no, the "but JB Hifi sells them" excuse will earn you no discount off the fine…i agree its stupid to be able to sell them when you cant use them, but thats another story…

  • Wondering what do you guys use while you can't ride it in NSW? Not even in the park.
