Hey guys, I have two Dell 5000 series laptops that require 45W, 19.5V, 2.31A chargers.
I would love to have a magnetic connection solution for them first and foremost, and then if possible, a USB-C charging option with the capacity to replace the laptop end of the cable when it wears out. Basically as modular as possible, although if this doesn't work out to be cost effective, I'm happy with an integrated cable. If this is too difficult to achieve with USB-C, then some kind of DC magnetic solution will be fine.
What brands, and combinations of adaptors have you guys used and recommend.
Thanks in advance.
Like a copycat Apple Magsafe / Microsoft Surface laptop magnetic charging cable?
Those off-brand magnetic charging cables and adapters that you can buy on eBay / Amazon / Aliexpress are a little iffy. Some users have recommended against using them (primarily because the contacts are exposed, and secondly, normal charging connectors are designed in a way that certain pins of the cable are connected in series while they are being plugged in by the user, but these magnetic ones are not)
