I only buy cactus approved chargers, Thankyou very much.
I'm sorry, is this some sort of highbrow joke that I'm too stupid to understand?
Cactus here
These are great. The price is nice too!
Anker GaN chips as usual are very efficient and they were on average 88-94% which is very good and about as good as it gets.
Ripple is fairly average but not perfect, voltage stability is good, and thermal performance is about average too.
It's not the highest performing charger but it's a strong option in the sea of crap we have on the market.
My only complaints or points that are worth noting are
- Lack of 12v in the voltage range.
- PPS is limited to 3A, this is common in some 65w chargers but worth noting as some devices can require more than 3A even in 45w or 65w units that have variable max amps based off PPS voltage.
- Fairly bulky for 65w, it does stick out a fair bit and may be a bit odd of a shape for some.
Overall I would advise folk to get 100w units with multiple ports wherever possible to future proof as much as possible and reduce waste, but if you have need and use for a single port charger this is a great option.
4/5 cacti
Piggybacking on this comment because I can't directly message you.
Have you ever looked at the Good-She 65W units variously branded under different names (including the infamous HEYMIX)?
Simplecom now sells it, and they're generally well-regarded as a brand - plus they're available at PC Case Gear, MSY, CPL etc. Their model number is CU265, and the OEM model is GS-W65A0927.
I grabbed one before I realised it was idental to a HEYMIX model and am curious if anyone's taken a look inside.
Suddenly it makes sense
The cactus is smooth, but the brain is not. thanks man =-)
This is not Gan work for my laptop
