        From the fine print section:

        Please Note:

Dining Credit: The included food credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Kids (13 and under) eat a free buffet breakfast with every full-paying adult. Valid at Shoreline Restaurant only.
Kids (13 and under) may also enjoy dinner from the kids' menu at Shoreline Restaurant with every full-paying adult. Excludes ticketed events.

  • They will kill you on the food situation- there’s nothing around except the Sea World restaurant, minimal to no cooking facilities or fridge, They do everything they can to force you to spend $$$ on food at the restaurant.

    • Palazzo Versace is next door - sorry Imperial Hotel now! Another overrated hotel!

    • You need a car so you can drive out to southport area about 10 min away.

  • Yikes this is the best theme park Australia has to offer lol would rather fly to Japan and experience something world class. Probably similar price - but honestly would rather pay bit more for overseas.

    • You will pay allot more for 7 nights in Japan..especially these days. Also Japan is hyper crowded..when I went to HK Disney there was so many Japanese ppl there..I asked them how come you guys are here when your park is better…They said they dont really fancy standing in a 4 hour line for one ride or a picture with Mickey so they come to HK instead.

      • both HK and Shanghai Disneyland is a joke and those who went can confirm

        • I dont know about these days but back in 2014 and 2016 I went to HK Disney with my 3 under 10s and it was really fun! There was basically very short to no lines for most things so you could go on a ride again and again all day long. During a patch of rain my eldest kids went on space mountain 15 times in a row as there was 0 line..they just went in and out and back in again over and over lol

Hyper in demand rides (winnie the pooh) had a max 20 minutes wait on busier days and you could even get a fast pass for that. Shows were good and mystic manor was very awesome. Would love to go again when the frozen land is completed.

Use ShopBack to get 4.5% cashback while using the Citibank promo code PRESTIGECITI10.

So I got $119.90 off with the 10% promo code and then received successful cashback tracked email of $53.96.

Also enter your Velocity Frequent Flyer number on the order page to earn velocity points as well.

    • Did you have to pay using a Citibank card?

      • +1

I used my Citibank card, but you may be able to pay with another card as the 10% is deducted from the amount before paying (unless they have validation to check that the card is a Citibank card when making payment).

      • +1

Was able to get the 10 percent discount with a cba card

    • 4.5% new customers only right??

      • Yeah it says for new customers, otherwise only 1%. When I entered my email into the form of Luxury Escapes site, it said welcome back and prompted me to enter my password even though I never had an account with them before. I clicked on forgot password and set my password and logged in after that. Looks like I got the 4.5% cash back.

Using promo code not approved by Shopback might cancel your cashback.

  • Been reading a few reviews about both Sea World and the resort. Not many are glowing.

A lot of complaints about 1/2 the rides being shut and massive queues for the rest.

Can I upgrade my ticket to the dont wait in line version for an extra fee??

    • We generally go during the quiet time of the year so there's no need to upgrade your ticket to the don't wait in line version. But like a few have said be prepared for a few rides to be shutdown supposedly due to maintenance for all theme parks. You can check what rides are shutdown via their website.

We have visited in school holidays and non school holiday period. If you go in the school holidays there are massive cues for all parks. We got in as the park opened and still my kid and her dad waited 2 hours for Levithan, although they both claim that it was worth it and want to go again lol In the last hour before the park closed most rides were at a 15 min wait so they hit 3 coasters at that time and went on the jet coaster I think 3 times. We had a 7 day pass and we had to go to Movie world 3 times so that my kid could hit all the coasters. It is very busy..If you have the money then buying the ride pass is a good idea in school holiday time.

However, in normal periods the parks have mostly tourists and little kids and if you are unlucky some school groups. You wont need ride passes at that time. Yes 1-2 rides are shut down because they do maintenance during the non-peak times & that is a good thing. You can check the schedule on the websites and book according to a time when your fav rides aren't down. Also note that its not just nsw school holidays to think about, you need to think about Qld and Vic as well. One time we went and all 3 states had their holidays overlapping making everything super busy.

Pease do ignore the bad reviews. I almost didnt take my family this year due to those reviews. Go in with low expectations and you will have a super fun time. I am not a rides person and I still had fun watching the shows and other entertainment.

    Good deal. Used 15% discounted Celebration gift card and Shopback 4.5% cashback. $1,199 - 15% - 4.5% = $965.20

    • hope you used the 10% off code too.

      • +1

I heard it may not work if you don't end up paying with citi… i'm about to try it out

        • +1

i paid the entire balance with the gift card and it just went through. very nice deal. my daughter will be very happy.

      • Is the Citi promo code approved by SHopback? If not, there will be no 4.5% cashback.

        • I received confirmation of $53 from shop back. Not sure if that will be still taken.

          • @Oauiii: did you stack the 15% celebration gift card too?
            this is like 25-30% off.

            • @SeVeN11: Yes that's right.
Code + gift card + shop back

Just booked successfully using the Citi promo code and 15% off Celebration gift cards.

Gift cards add on at checkout to an accumulating balance and stay there even if you back out of the checkout.

Bonus is that you can exchange the Celebration gift cards for an exact value to the cent, leaving some money that can be spent elsewhere.

Tried my luck with SB as well - new LE customer so 4.5%. If it pays it pays, if not then no loss.

Amazing timing - was about to book on Sunday night through Entertainment (Book) Travel which was the cheapest. Got an extra night and more than $1000 saving on the booking because I decided to have one last check of offers online on Monday. Thanks OP!

me too just booked successfully using PRESTIGECITI10 promo code and 15% off Celebration gift cards and Shopback cashback should they accept

  • +1

If you cancelled the booking paid with Giftcard, I assume the credit goes back to giftcard balance?
If you're still not sure whether you're going or not, better pay with normal credit card

    • +1

My understanding is that the giftcard allows you tpu transfer the amount on the giftcard to Luxury Escape credit. So I assume a refund would not go back on the gift card itself, but onto your Luxury Escape account

      • Ah that's even worse…
$1k credit stuck in Luxury Escape account :(

  • Booked successfully using PRESTIGECITI10 promo code and 15% off Celebration gift cards and Shopback cashback should they accept, thanks OP!
They have Buy now, choose dates later option too!

I wonder if the price of the rooms increases, then we have to pay the difference?

      • Possibly. We couldn't make up our minds yet.

  • Is anything available this year? Checked a few room types and availability only from January

  • Anyone knows how to get the tickets for MovieWorld/SeaWorld/etc ? or how it works? I want to give one to someone else.

    • +1

They are received on check in.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

    Booked starting from 25th Feb.

    1199 -10% (citi code) -15% (celebration card) - 4.5% (53.96 shopback cashback) = effectively paid $864

    Topcashback is offering 5% btw.

A friend wanted to join us in theme parks only (lives in Brisbane), so added him as a 3rd adult at no extra cost (we are a couple and 2 kids = total 3 adults, and a 3 yrs and 1 yr kid).

    • how does that work?
so you can just add locals from Brisbane and they get free entry?

  • Don't know why the total price turns out to be $2,064.60, instead of $1,199 for 4 persons for 5 nights from 18 Dec 2023 to 23 Dec 2023, with the promo code 'PRESTIGECITI10 applied. Is there anything wrong that I did?

    • No availability/sold out from Dec to April. The earliest $1199 ones can be booked now are from May 2024.

    • School holidays premium

  • Is the PRESTIGECITI10 code still working with non Citi cards? Tried earlier today with a CBA card and it wouldn’t allow me to submit payment.

    • +1

Nope - no longer working for 28 degrees card either. LUXMETRO100 takes $100 off though.

  • Thanks OP, family holiday booked :)

Couldn't get PRESTIGECITI10 code to work with my non-Prestige Citi card, but code "CITI10" managed to give 10% off up to $250 on my Citi Rewards card.

  • +3

Couldn't get PRESTIGECITI10 to work (payment failed) so I tried some random codes and and got HOLIDAY10 to work!
10% off and booking confirmed. Hope this helps someone.
