    This isn't even 25% off retail for a 2 year old phone…
    Iphone 13 pro 256gb retail price = $1,869
    (1869-1429)/1869*100 = 23.5% discount

so it is a great deal if it is 24 dollars cheaper?

      • +10

Not a deal at all. With the same OS and most likely more extras iPhone 15 has a better CPU and the same price compared to Pro models.

@localhost: Rubbish, Apple still support the XR/XS from 2018. It's got at least 3 updates left.

                @freefall101: hardware parts, not software.

                • +1

@localhost: Apple still repair phones back to the iPhone 7.

                  • +1

@freefall101: Repair is different from iOS updates. For repairs, Apple will bend you for longer.

You'll probably get five years iOS updates from the original release, plus another year or two of security updates.

                  • @freefall101: Yep, have a look here for 13 pro - https://support.apple.com/en-au/iphone/repair/screen-replace…

                    • @localhost:

13 is 2 years old and most likely not supported in a year

Did you forget your own imaginary argument? Same price as the iPhone 15 that you’re recommending instead too.

                      • @freefall101: 15 is current model. 13 is 2y old.
                        Let's compare apples with… apples.

                        • @localhost: We tried that, you came up with imaginary arguments about it not being supported anymore. Not really game to go through the same goalpost moving again thanks.

                          • @freefall101: OK, you win… now pick you wallet and go buy brand new, unopened iPhone 13 Pro.
                            For me it's no deal.

                            • @localhost: Nah, it's a terrible price. Only $50 less than it was over a year ago. It's a better choice than the 15 with the better camera, screen and still has years of support left but I'm waiting for an optus deal on the 15 pro.

I went the s23 due to wanting a smaller phone. How is it in the hands?

      • +1

Not too bad. I do struggle to use it one handed though.

        • I came from an oppo X5 pro and they are just big for the sake of it. Don't game so no appeal to me. Quicker charging nearly got me on board though.

    • What deal is that?

If you dont know, you dont know. I am sorry.

I don’t think I paid that price brand new 2 years ago! Holy!

    • What did you pay 2 years ago for your brand new 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max?

    • +3

You’re right, you didn’t. You will have paid a fair bit more.
