Just watched Let Me Take your Pulse
My favourite and I only watch the 1 episode. Would recommend.
Just watched Let Me Take your Pulse
My favourite and I only watch the 1 episode. Would recommend.
The wife watched it. I couldn't stand the constant arguing and yelling. It's anxiety inducing and exhausting. It rarely let up
Starts like that but it does settle down a bit
Watched the first season. Only stuck with it after first 2 episodes hoping it got better. Second season 1 episode and give it away.
Bear is brilliant
The Forks episode is amazing
Watched that today, superb episode.

To be honest though, good Anime takes a Cleveland Steamer on almost all regular TV shows or anything out of Hollywood…… and there is a hell of a lot of good Anime.
Got any good anime you’d recommend to get started?
What’s your taste?
It’s hard to recommend anime because there’s so many out there. Do you like Shonen? Slice of life? Comedy? Horror?
I’d say just start off with some of the highest rated ones, you won’t be disappointed.
Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer etc
attack on titan
I recommend watching “The Promised Neverland”. Both season 1 & 2.
don't watch season 2. Season 1 is good though
Depends on your taste.

Can personally vouch for all of the above.
Look them up here for detailed break-downs and reviews: https://myanimelist.net/
You can stream any of them at places like aniwatch, or sail the high seas at Nyaa over in the "English Translated" section.
Marvel and star wars series. Except ms marvel, i stopped after 3rd ep. Too kiddy.
The boys is an absolute banger.
Do yourself a favour and don’t watch Gen V…
I tried to give it a chance because it’s in the same universe as The Boys, but it’s pandering at its worst. Unwatchable, so stopped watching half way through episode 5.
The Boys: Diabolical is great though, just The Boys in animated short stories.
I didn't mind Gen V so far 4 episodes in.
Lots of the same crazy light hearted stuff that makes the boys fun to watch.
I really enjoyed Succession and The Bear. I highly recommend both.
I love Invincible on Prime. Very violent and graphic coming-of-age superhero type, and season 2 comes out in November!
This show is profanitying brutal. Highly recommend!
We waited 2.5 years for season 2 and they could only give us 4 episodes with the remainder to air 'early 2024'
I get why to drag it out so the season lasts longer but still really annoying
Probably delayed due to strike action
Nah all episodes have been completed. If they can release one batch no rules relating to the SAG strike says you can’t release the other batch. It’s just to keep ppl paying for their subscriptions rather than just cancelling after they finished the shows they want to watch
I've read the comic and it's great. Only weird thing is that the art style changes for the worse - I hope it doesn't come into the show.
Tenable is the only good show on the T.V. even has it's own midget.
MILF Manor
if that's a real show that's definitely going to be my favourite.
"eight confident and strong-minded women…"
Pass.
but milfs bro, the milfs.
Wubba Lubba Dub Dubbb
Existence is pain
the last of us
The Righteous Gemstones
Uncle Billy approves
Just do what all the normal people are doing, watch "The Block". Australia culture is 95% houses. The Block, the best television program ever made /s
The Project..best show
HAHAHA! You should do stand up.
King of the Hill and Loki
Season two of Loki is garbage. I enjoyed season one.
After Life
I assume these don't need to be released in 2023. I'll put YouTube links to previews so I don't have to explain why these excellent TV shows are worth your time. Let's jack right in.
Dream Corp LLC
Helmed by the easily distracted Dr. Roberts, a psychotherapeutic facility treats patients with troubling dreams. Roberts employs a team of incompetent scientists to help analyze and record those thoughts plaguing the doctor's patients.
At one point in this series you will profanity your pants so hard laughing, it will hit the wall behind you.
And no, that is not an energy vampire, it's much weirder than that. :)
Undone
Alma, a 28-year-old living in San Antonio, Texas, finds that she has a new relationship to time after nearly dying in a car accident. As Alma develops new abilities, she pursues answers about her father’s death.
I promise this show is not as boring as that text makes it sound. The artwork and story kept my attention start to finish.
Fargo
It's a Canadian show and shit gets weird as the seasons go on. Excellent from start to finish.
Bee and Puppycat
You can watch one of the series on YouTube, it's just over an hour long and no ads (unless you're the only person on earth who doesn't use an adblocker).
That will do for now.
Old show but really good one called The Leftovers. If you're into mystery and HBO style editing.
The Leftovers is incredible IMO. It's massively underrated.
As good as Dark
Lupin
Apparently it was most watched non-English series on Netflix when it first dropped in 2021. They just released Season 3 so well worth a binge
Bluey
Ahsoka, The Mandalorian are great if you're into Star Wars. Strange New Worlds and Picard is awesome if you're into Star Trek. The Foundation was pretty decent too if you like Sci-fi in general.
Will add Lower Decks to the Star Trek stuff………and then if if going animation Harley Quinn.
Ted Lasso
While not current. These are some of my fav series:
Inside No 9
The Leftovers
Severance
The Terror
As for current stuff, I've heard 'The Gold' is pretty good?
Mr Inbetween. Aussie show, filmed in Sydney, low budget, but great writing. Very underrated.
Colin from Accounts.
Australian cast. Really funny light hearted show.
Trust me you won't be disappointed.
I am surprised no one mentioned Deadloch on Amazon.
It is hysterical with some great Aussie expressions/swearing. It takes a couple of episodes to hit its stride.
That's a classic example of great Aussie TV. I really wish there was more investment in Aussie TV.. We've great comic talent here with really clever writing.
I very much agree.
Since we're listing older shows. The Expanse, Justified, Mr Inbetween and Community.
Amazon have "New Bandits", which I really liked. 8.6 on IMDB too.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27208330/
Flags a bit in the latter half of the season, but still good.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan
Weak Hero Class 1
The Night Agent
The Diplomat
Rabbit Hole
Shrinking
Reacher
Outlander if you're into your English/Scottish/American civil era history. Just waiting for season 7 to come out now.
the good doctor - why has no one recommended this?
Wheel of time second season is a lot better than the first. Billy the Kid first episode season two was really good as well.
I found the 1st season of Wheel of Time re-watchable after seeing the 2nd season as well.
Cannot go past Twin Peaks if you want to go down a rabbit hole. Right now I cannot wait for the next season of Fargo.
Twin Peaks is on my watch list, will get to it one day.
Reservation Dogs is fantastic, just dropped the final season.
David Beckham (4 episodes)
The fall of the house of Usher on Netflix 👍
It hasn't been mention yet - Only Murders in the Building. So smart and funny
Prime:
* Patriot - very dry dark comedy tragedy about a guy who doesn't want to be a spy but is forced by his Dad. Some really good actors. My wife and I were ROFL. Like a Jack Ryan but tragic black comedy.
* Treadstone - related to Jason Bourne
* Utopia (Not the ABC one. The UK version is better, the slightly more polished US version isn't quite as good and gives less resolution, both on Prime)
* The Peripheral - scifi
* Jack Ryan
* Reacher
* Hanna - a bit like Jason Bourne - don't underestimate what young girls can do!
* The Widow - Kate Beckinsale, slow burner drama mystery.
* Bosch and Bosch Legacy - slow burner detective, dark, dry, but very good
* The Rings of Power
* The Terminal List - for Jason Bourne/Jack Ryan fans
* Three Pines - slow burner detective drama. Alfred Molina is great (Doc Oc, the guy who joins Indiana Jones in the temple and dies in Raiders)
* Absentia
* Picard
* Humans - Androids that gain sentience and face human resistance. BBC remake that is slightly better than the Swedish original "Real Humans". Has been on ABC too I think.
* Decline and Fall - silly dark comedy British 3 parter that my wife loved and I thought was reasonably good too.
DisneyPlus
* Deep State
* The Americans
* The Old Man
* Only Murders (good WAF)
* The Beatles - Get Back & McCartney 3,2,1 - Slow but worth it for music fans
* Boba Fett/Mando/Hawkeye
* Devs
* The Killing (US)
* Legion - bizarre but excellent!
Disney (Good with 10-12 y.o)
* Hardy Boys
* The Secrets of Sulphur Springs
* National Treasure - Edge of History
* The Wonder Years
Other
* Mr Robot - borrowed from library
* Firefly, plus Serenity movie
Plus a bunch from SBS
patriot is …..a show i watched.
I'm surprised no one has said Top Boy on Netflix.
Another one that is on my to watch list. Filed under shows I would like but the Mrs probably won't so have to watch them during WFH lunch breaks etc.
You definitely should! I didn't think I would like it tbh, but got hooked. Just took an episodes or two to get used to the road accent, then it's good fam.
The Boys
Boiling Point
Thoroughly enjoyed My Name on Netflix
You know what, theres actually a ton of awesome Korean TV shows on Netflix.
Just finished watching The Devils Plan which is like Physical 100 but for smart people.
Startd Ragnarok on Netflix .. can't get into it
I need some good netflix recommedations…..
Yes I agree it did my head in. I think it was Season 2 episode 9 that I had to mute most of the episode. I didn’t really rate the show at all but persevered because I was told it was good.
