It's okay for a base spirit that isn't actually fermented on site by Archie Rose themselves. It definitely does not warrant the RRP - but $71 for two bottles is a steal.

Yep. Alcohol is just better in Japan! My mother got a great tasting plum liqueur there after we visited a really cozy bar in Kyoto, the owner was so friendly even with the language barrier we shared some stories with her.

The bloody shiraz gin can be neat. Sweeter than most gins due to the addition of grape juice, but may need a boost.

@CyberMurning: If you want short, sweet and fruity, I recommend a small dollop of pomegranate molasses to the gin served on the rocks. Will provide a sweet and sour complexity while complementing the flavour profile of the gin.
