yes
Eneloops, yes. But you should consider a smart charger, rather than this standard one.
Good to know, thank you
Can you please provide an example of a good and affordable smart charger? Thx

They come on special occasionally, if you're able to wait a bit.
@RecklessMonkeys: i've been waiting for a deal for smart charger as well because my LaCrosse just died.
the panasonic charger is no where near "smart", it doesn't do refresh, discharge etc, just a lightweight charger with basic overcharge protection.
@ctan7: Fair enough, but that's all I meant. It's a pain having to guess when the batteries are charged.
And as if on cue -

This charger (Lii-500) is much more versatile, has battery test modes as well, and can also charge many li-ion batteries. $42 delivered, doesn't come with any batteries though:

If you're near an IKEA store, their LADDA rechargeable batteries are just as good as eneloops, and cheaper.
On a side note, how do ozbargainers store and organise their charged and uncharged Eneloops?

As a true OzBargainer I bought a 3D printer for 25% off, bought a 30% discounted 10 pack of PLA, and printed my own battery storage.
You should sell these - I'd buy one!
I use these battery storage cases:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/134133166203
When the batteries are freshly charged, they are put into the case right-way-up (i.e. if you open the case as though it was a book, the positive pips are at the top).
If I take used batteries out of something, they get put into the case wrong-way-up (positive pips at the bottom). So when I see batteries in this orientation, I know those batteries need charging.
These cases make it very easy to take spare batteries with you, say if you're going to an event and you want to take a backup set of batteries for your camera flash.
There are lots of battery storage cases like these, and how they are held closed differs. The one in my link can be a bit difficult to open when there is a battery in the slot closest to the catch, as you're partly pressing on the battery when you try to release the catch. Other types have catches that are easy to open, but they can pop open when you don't want them to. I have one type that won't even stay closed if there are no batteries stored, it seems that catch needs the batteries to push upwards on the lid.
Been trying to find excuses to buy rechargeable but almost everything now is usb c ….
Anything with USB-C will usually have a non-replaceable li-ion battery. Li-ion batteries are typically down to half capacity after three to five years, and become pretty unusable after that.
So maybe choose things with user-replaceable AA/AAA batteries instead. It'll pay off after a few years, when you don't have to buy replacement equipment.
Added bonus: you'll have reduced the risk of having a li-ion battery fire at your house.
Good thinking … much appreciated .. thx !!!
Be careful choosing the battery charger you use, the one in this pack is a "dumb" charger, and it's designed to slowly damage the batteries so you'll have to replace them after a few years. A good "smart" charger will keep your batteries working for much longer, it's worth the investment.
I have been looking for rechargeable batteries after seeing all the ozbargain posts. I am looking for something to power my toddler’s homedics sound spa music box, we are going through amazon batteries every few weeks. Is this a good deal to go with?
