Awesome price on this portable power station and cheaper than recent deals including the Bluetti EB3A 268Wh and now removed Allpowers R600 299Wh. These are really good as an all-in-one solution when going out camping to power appliances/electronics or for use as a UPS, powering CPAP machines and so forth.

I recommend you buy it cheaper from this listing. for $331.48 ($323.68 with eBay Plus) instead. Sadly there's only 5 instock so it can't be put as the main link. You may be able to use the "Make Offer" button to get either listing even cheaper.

Features include a 299Wh capacity with long lasting & durable LiFePO4 cells, 600W output with 1200W surge, pure sine wave, 2x AC AU plugs, 2x DC 5521 (12V/10A) & car socket (12V/10A) output, DC input (12V-30V), AC input, solar input with built in MPPT, 1x USB-C 60W PD, 1x USB-A 18W QC 3.0 fast charging and 2x regular USB-A.

  • Is this enough to boil a kettle?

    • Depends what the power of your kettle is. I think a lot of them are typically 2200w and that would be too much. You'd want to get something that's 600W or less.

    • +1

if you get one if those small coil things yes

    • It will work with a 12v kettle. It will not work with a standard 240v kettle as they draw 2000w minimum. I have never used a 12v kettle but I'm sure the only difference between a 12v and 240v kettle would be the speed of the boil.

      • Just FYI, you'll only be able to boil two kettles worth of water before the battery is flat.

    • +1

Use a small gas bottle instead. Way more efficient.

      • +1

        No. Faster, not more efficient.

        • Depends on efficiency definition. A kmart jetboil copy would be way smaller and cheaper and you wouldn't have to buy a 12v kettle.

You need the awesome power of fossil fuels to boil water efficiently. Use gas.

  • Any deals on 2500w?

    • +1

Seems on their eBay store they only have ones going up to 1500W (2400W surge). Seems the highest model from this brand is 1800W (3600W surge).

    • Nikola Tesla would be so proud!

  • pure sine wave AC outlets. Nice.

  • Anyone own any VTOMAN generator's and can comment on their quality? I'm very curious to know what LiFePO4 cells they use (Couldn't read the description as it was broken for me)

  • 600w means you wouldn't be able to power a half-decent PC yeah? Unless it was a 500w power supply with limited hardware/peripherals and a small-sized monitor, and that's be pushing it?

Thinking to grab this anyway and replace my unopened Cygnett Explorer 200w.

    Edit: Grabbed one, thanks OP!

    • I was able to charge my Legion5 laptop with a 250w inverter.

      • Sorry, I ain't power savvy at all and don't know what that is or means.. 😅 I just thought most laptops use like 60w? When you say inverter, I'm guessing you're not saying from a car battery but probably your own home solar system with a little inverter to save money on power bills?

        • +1

You need to check how much wattage your laptops power supply pulls - if its 60w then it will pull 60w per hour generally speaking, with a 300 watt hour system like this post, you will be able to run charging to the laptop for ~5 hours, but will be less with electricity losses when it converts from DC to AC

          • @Headless: Worse than DC to AC as the laptop power brick will just convert back to DC anyway. Most efficient would be to use the USB-C port to charge via PD. Just using as a big powerbank then though. For a PC, if you ran the 12V output to a pico style PSU instead of supplying AC. That's assuming you can combine the 3x10A outputs though, then you've got 360W. With something like an ITX Ryzen APU system, have power to spare to power a monitor that uses an external 12V PSU. World actually moving that way with 12V PSU standards anyway.

Tempted to test this.. But I have no need or use for it personally..

  • only 100w solar charging, not surge on surge power functions but otherwise good specs

    • What's surge on surge power functions?

      • sry, i meant high surge function, bluetti can do 1200W for a short time, this one not so much

        • Ohhh. For like, more than flickering power surges?

          • +1

@WasBargain: Sometimes devices will draw a high amount of power to get going, then stabilise - so having this high power mode it allows a high power draw for a short period of time, otherwise will trip.

  • Is it suitable for the resmed Airsense 11? Connect via ac or dc? Thanks

    • Connect via AC. Looks like it draws up to about 75W so it'll be fine.

      • Thank you. Also, it over 160Wh, is this mean not able to either check in or take it on a plane?

        • +1

Yeah it would have to be freight.

  • Pass through charging?

    • Yes

  • Prob a dumb question but can I just use this as a plugged in ups?

  • +1

Remember when calculating what you can use it for its WH not AH.

  • Comes with a free house fire.

    • You're not supposed to throw batteries in the fireplace.

Thanks…. Been looking at getting a power station for a while - ended up getting https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/354927571798 - VTOMAN Jump 1000 1000w 1408wh with 100w solar panel as it seemed like a better deal although just under $1000 after 17% ebay off. I did find the power station for $969 less ebay 17% but after searching for 48v solar panels (or 4x12v in series) I figured the extra was worth it… Review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rplb9tB319M sold me on the brand seeming to be decent…
