Decent discount off this branded microwave rice and grain cooker. At this price, have purchased one to try and another as a gift.

It is an additional 19 AUD, for style
any specific recommended stylised rice grains to complement it?
In my experience, long grain was very generous in its praise…
I haven’t tried this one but the decor brand was a bust.
Yeah, goopy ricewater all over the microwave. No stars
Yup, it didn’t have the water return thingy.
Decor is really just a Tupperware container.
Can’t say how this compares, but do yourself a favour and pay the extra couple bucks over the Decor for the Sistema rice cooker currently on special for $7.69 and comes with a seperate rice spoon, pressure aerator, better steam release valve and a bonus round storage container. I’ve got both the Decor and the Sistema and the latter is infinitely better.

J-squared make some good stuff and I’d love to try this cooker but I don’t know which ones I’d get to keep after the divorce if this one turned up alongside my Sistema, Decor and Panasonic electric rice cooker which has been relegated to storage…
It has an inner sieve you lift out to drain water. Water usually boils out of the top. You can't grip the 'handle' to pull the lid off… I drilled holes so a fork could lift it. Good rice still, same as decor, but Joseph Joseph prices.
Just buy a regular rice cooker! Easier to use and perfect rice Everytime, no microwave nonsense!
Bench space.
Cupboards.
If you can store this… a basic ass rice cooker isnt much different.
microwave rice
screaming no inside me
Spend the $7.69 on this https://www.amazon.com.au/Sistema-82001-Microwave-Container-… then let me know if your inner voice has been converted. Mine was…
Thanks OP!
How does this compared the microwave rice cooker from Daiso for ~$9?
I have cuckoo rice cooker, a basic rice cooker, and this. I even went through a phase where I cooked rice in a pot. This is my go to these days. Sure, took a few goes to get it just right but once you mastered it, it’s easy to use, easy to wash, easy to put away.
Is it any good for brown rice?
Haven’t tried it but I can’t see how it won’t work with the right amount of water and coooking time
Haiyaa just buy rice cooker or else you disappoint Uncle Roger
How’s this differ to a $6 Decor branded rice cooker?
