Trading in some $10 Bluetooth headphones from the reject shop when Samsung are doing the $500 trade in bonus

        • To whoever negged me, why? It's something I have done and it has worked???

        • How do you trade in a bluetooth headphone? I only see tradein phone as an option to get 500 bonus.

@[Deactivated]: Can trade in headphones/buds through the app

            • +2

@Bruceflix: Strange, I can only see phone or watch to be trade in in the app, no headphone or ear buds options available.

            • @Bruceflix: Neither do I see option of headphones/buds through the app. Just phones tablets and watches.

              • +1

@[Deactivated]: Just downloaded the tradeup app. Certianly showed audio devices. selected buds - other. Tradein value $1
edit: Did this for a flip 5 the other week and they never bothered even sending the shipping code to have the "buds" sent to them.

                • @Bruceflix: Ah its the Asurion APAC Mobile tradeup App. I was using the samsung shop app. Got it thanks.

bluetooh? I sent in an old wired earphones from Singapore airlines and it was accepted.

          • @avitherock: I was advised at the Samsung store that it shouldn't be accepted if it was wired. Originally intended to trade in wired ones too.

          • @avitherock: Thank you for sharing! I was thinking of sending some old wired earphones…but ended up sending a cheap pair of banggood bluetooth earphones.

$500 trade in bonus makes it cheaper than this.

      • Google pixel 8 pro for $828

        • Where?

        • Huhhh? Where?

          Edit: Nvm, optus, no thanks.

          • @Tbargain12: Read the thread. You buy the phone on the plan for $0, cancel the plan on the first day. Pay $828 cancellation fee.

Who cares if the carrier Optus. You cancel the plan.

            • @mandelbrot: Optus still get your ID and share with the world

              • +1

@Bruceflix: That sharing will happen no matter which platform you are. Its just a matter of when.

            • +1

@mandelbrot: Feeling kinda guilty doing it. They themselves seem to be paying 1481 to google.

@[Deactivated]: There's a post somewhere there where someone explains how everybody wins.
Plus you feel bad for Gerry?

                • +1

@mandelbrot: It hurts everybody working at optus if they take a loss. 7500 clicks. Even if 1.5K people do it, its a mn$ loss. Anyways, I will leave it here. I already did it with Samsung tablet last year and felt guilty about it :(

Very expensive, do not think it is a deal at this price with some of the previous deals from Samsung direct.

  • +1

    $1769 for a phone ain't no bargain.

  • Dealn't

  • +1

I paid $1549 at JB (price matched with Telstra) a few weeks back for my S23 Ultra-even that wasn't the best deal around though mine was 256GB and not 512GB.

    • $1548 for 256GB model in Prime deal.

      • +1

About $ 1350 for 512 GB model with trade in shenanigans

  • Or get a fold 5 512gb for $1800+ from Edu store
