Vue Combed 100% Cotton Ribbed Bath Towel $15 (50% off) + $9.95 Delivery ($0 Gold/Plat Member, C&C, in-Store, $99 Order) @ MYER

60

Was looking to purchase some towels through the Prime day deal however after the poor reviews I found these instead at Myer.

All colours look to be ~50% off. You can buy the bath mat, towel and sheet online however the face and hand towels are only available in store.

Reviews seem to be good so I've given them a crack.

  • I prefer cotton towels that don't shed. Unfortunately on the Myer website, there are 3 older 1 star reviews of these towels leaving fluff everywhere. Please let us know how you go. Thanks

    • I bought these a while back in the light green (they were cheaper than the other colours) and a friend bough the black ones (anthracite?)

I had no issues with the light green (sage) in terms of fluff (after first wash and dry) but I got "runs" in the material.

My friend however had endless issues with black fluff, despite putting them in the dryer after washing. Looking at the reviews, it seems that the negative reviews are about the black colour.
i.e. "They shed little black fibres everywhere! Even after washing I had to exchange for grey which is much better and doesn’t have this issue"

      • Thanks for the review. Interesting there is a 4 star review of the grey colour with photo:

Very good quality and soft, but sheds little fibres constantly

  • What's the best value soft towel that you can buy?

    • You can check out Aldi's bath towel (around $12.99) that seems soft and doesn't shed.
I've been using Sheridan towels for a long time but the quality has deteriorated.
Tried Aldi and Ikea Salviken that don't shed. Salviken is not that soft though

    • I got some of these in brown.

Just remember to not use fabric softener and pop them in the dryer so they stay nice and fluffy.

  • I'd always go the bath sheet over a towel - can recommend the Target Supima Cotton Bath Sheet (2 for $50 presently). These havent fluffed up too much and still feel soft..ish even when not using fabric softener or the dryer.

  • I've bought these before and they're good.
