  • Any recommendations for good programming-like games other than Zachtronics games and Human Resource Machine/7 Billion Humans? (Played them.) Doesn’t need to be actual code, e.g. something like Factorio would also be good.

    • +3

'Quadrilateral Cowboy', it's a puzzle heist game where you use telnet commands to remotely control devices (ex. moving a drone around with turtle graphics-like commands). Not strictly programming, at most you make short scripts, but I imagine it will still interest you.
Does not appear to currently be on sale though, but it has been in a few bundles (Like the 'Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality' on itch.io) before so you may already own it.

You may also want to take a look at some of Introversion Softwares games, especially their prototypes like Megaprocessor & Spacebots

      • Thanks! I actually played Quadrilateral Cowboy but never got around to finishing it — I should do that. I also enjoyed Uplink, Darwinia etc. but hadn’t heard of Megaprocessor & Spacebots.

Turing Complete is well worth checking out despite some flaws by the way.
