Nice find. The Intel version is also available - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/394580015778.
Does anyone know which one is better?
    And I can't find the laptop's weight online…

    • +3

The Intel one does not have the Nvidia GPU, weight starts from 1.49kg.

      • Thank you!

On another note, would people generally go for the Asus Zenbook over the Lenovo Yoga?

I’d go yoga to avoid OLED burn in.

          • @jpeg-jpg: Yea am worried about the burn-in, too, but what if comparing to an IPS Zenbook? Would Zenbooks be generally better?

            • +1

@beOson: Depends on which specific one you’re comparing, and its price. Spec for spec, Yogas are known to cool relatively well but Zenbooks are slightly slimmer and lighter and looks more premium imo. Depends on your needs really. Though personally between the 2 i’d take the Yoga.

              • @jpeg-jpg: Yogas are known to cool relatively well?

I bought a Yoga 7i. Its fans ran all the time at full speed - even in sleep. After three support calls from the Philippines installing every driver they knew couldn't fix it, I got a full refund.

                • @mantichoral: That sounds like an issue specifically with your unit. Not all Yogas do that. Also, I only said that it cools well, not that it stays quiet while doing so.

    Does this overheat ?

    • Can you elaborate on what you are specifically referring to?

I have a sore back and was told to try Hot Yoga

        • +1

          You need some tantric yoga

    • +2

It’ll run hot, like any other 14” thin and light with a dGPU. But it has sufficient cooling to maintain decent enough clocks. Can’t complain for the price.

  • Just in the process of getting a warranty repair for my Legion 7.

Have to say that Lenovo tech support isnt great. Called on Monday, still dont even have a time/date for the replacement monitor to be installed.

Dell would have done it on Tuesday.

  • I have G7 Pro X with basically the same specs as this, and it has been great! Runs well, on integrated graphics i easily get 8+ hours battery, and when using full dedicated gpu it does get hot, but not too loud and doesn't seem to throttle much.

    • Sorry, but what (model) is the G7 Pro X?

Sorry, the Slim 7 Pro x Gen 7, terrible name, good laptop. Seems to be extremely similar to this as far as spec goes. (Maybe mine is a bit slimmer?)

          All g. Thanks for that.

Yeah, I actually like the glossy screen/look.

The model is outdated and I don't think I can get it anymore, though.

  • Anyone know if the Intel version is better or not?

    i7 13700h vs r7 7735hs

Obviously the AMD version has RTX3050 and 3k display but I don't really need a dedicated GPU..

  • Worried about durability, otherwise I would buy it

If it's anything like my last two Yoga 7's, a 7 Pro and a 7 Pro X, both have been rock solid in build. I only got the Pro X as my Mum needed a laptop so I gave her the 7 Pro. They are extremely well built machines.

      • Recently purchased the Yoga 7i Pro. What an amazing laptop - EVO certified, fast as lightning and excellent sound with a sharp 2.5k 14.5” 16:10 screen.
