    • These charger deals are better than the one I posted, except if you only want one battery. There are also real limited stock around as these were previous deals.

    • These are unobtainable.

      • I bought one on the weekend, got sick of waiting for a 3 for $99 deal to pop up again.

What is the normal price? And how does the black series differ?

The black versions are usually sold for $48-$49 however only are seen when Aldi or similar has a deal with their tools / batteries.
The red version is $69 each and I dont believe there is any difference

  • At this price and with okay/decent cells in them…

These are great for ripping the cells out and using them in DIY projects for custom banks or rc stuff

      What brand 16500 they use?

  • Waiting for them to be 29 again.

    • Are you talking about batties?

    • Was that in 2018?

I also want to be 16 again. :)

Note that the 4Ah batteries can feel quite heavy so might not be best for one-handed tools you'll be gripping for a long time. Ideal for something like the grass trimmer or chainsaw that you hold with two hands, though.

    • Depends on location. The blower/hedge trimmer is fine. Pole saw is hella top heavy and that's not because of the battery. Line trimmer and edge trimmer are definitely ok.

While you need some physical power to use these tools, unsure whether the battery adds that much to their ergonomics.

  • 18650 battery configuration. 5 cells x 3.6v = 18v

    4AH - 5S2P configuration = 2 x banks of 5 cells in series. Cell capacity 2000 mAH.
    5AH - 5S2P configuration = 2 x banks of 5 cells in series. Cell capacity 2500 mAH.

    Harvesting the 4Ah cells $48 / 10 = $4.80 each 2000 mAH is decent price.
