Metcon 8s are narrow. Metcon 9s are wider particularly in the toe box.
These aren't great if you have a particularly wide foot particularly in the toe box area at least the previous generation wasn't
Any good for futsal
Not really. I've got the 6's and and have tried to play in them but they're a bit too stiff and the toe-box has a bit of a lip where you'd expect a futsal shoe to be rounded.
How competitive do you want to be? You might get away with it as a keeper but the outsole grip is generally not amazing for turning. General ball feel is not great either because the shoe isn't as close a fit around forefoot area (at least not for me). Could be fixed potentially by going down half a size and different lace pattern.

Really firm sole - good for some things but limits mobility. Great price regardless.
Got some Metcon 6, although the heel lifts a bit there is heaps of toe room. Understand other versions are all slightly different, best to try on.
Wasn't a fan of the Metcon 8's. They only lasted 7 months of 5 WOD's a week. I got a good few years out of my Metcon 6s. That said, it's a great price for the 8's if you're happy with the reduced durability.
I've moved over to the RAD Ones though. Significantly better than the Metcon 8s, and felt more stable than the Metcon 9s.
