Please Provide Proof of Non Receipt from The Post Office within 24 Hours. (from AliExpress)

Hi all,

I just got an email from AliExpress Customer Service asking me to (exact words) ..
'Please provide proof of non receipt from the post office within 24 hours.'

Can someone tell me how do a buyer (me) do that? Seriously.

To put things in context here, within AliExpress's own Message Centre, the seller stated that an item has been discontinued
and will send the others out (I bought many stuff from same seller), and I just have to 'Confirm receipt' (after I got the package)
and then ask for the refund of that single item that was discontinued (thus also not sent too obviously).

So far I am having a fun time (NOT!) in trying to get that refund via this particular seller, then via AliExpress's
refund/dispute/appeal/reappeal (whatever it's called), and now (last resort) reaching out via their 'Online Customer Service'
who then told me they would send my evidence (as captured from Message Centre) to their "High-something team" to get that
refund from the seller. And this is what they are now asking me to get!

Perhaps I've been locked down so long and the world has evolved without me, and so I thought of my fellow ozbargineers!!

Just send them a photo of you, holding nothing in your hands.

    • I tried that once
      they didn't accept it

      • +1

        Worked for me once surprisingly.

Perhaps they will accept a statutory declaration from you?

Send them a picture like this….

    • That crack me upšŸ˜„

Did the message come from Aliexpress or from the seller using the Aliexpress system?

Obviously don't confirm receipt of the order.

    • From AliExpress.

  • Perhaps I've been locked down so long ….

    Oh …..YOU!

  • Auspost Doesnā€™t have a photo of delivered item, perhaps at an unfamiliar location?
If it was sent tracked either you sign on the electronic screen, or if left in a ā€œSafeā€ location a picture is taken.

The seller sent the 4 items minus the discontinued item in one package. I didn't have to sign anything.

and I just have to 'Confirm receipt' (after I got the package)
and then ask for the refund of that single item that was discontinued (thus also not sent too obviously).

lol, don't confirm receipt if you haven't received it …

there should be an option in the dispute system for not shipping an item (i think that is what you are saying) or not received

I did confirm receipt as per the seller suggestion that was within the AliExpress own Message Centre.

The seller stated they could only provide a refund after I've had confirmed receipt because it would 'provide a platform to do the refund' (the seller own words).

The entire conversation is inside AliExpress Message Centre. And I thought this is how it is done.

Obviously, I fell into a scam and AliExpress itself seems to ignore (or don't bother) to read their own Message Centre of what their sellers are scamming.

I already raised the dispute, got rejected, appeal, got rejected, re-appeal and got rejected again. AliExpress said to try their Online Customer Service and I did .. re-attaching the entire Seller words/scam from the Message Centre'. And this is their last 'ask', to prove non receipt from the post office.

Ffs, the seller stated the item was discontinued and he/she would send the others!!..in the Message Centre that AliExpress can SEE!!

Yeah you got played. When you confirmed receipt you acknowledged that you recieved it. Hope it wasn't expensive. Chalk it up to a lesson.

        • +5

And to expand further the other reason you don't want to confirm receipt is that the seller doesn't receive the money until that happens.

          • @Clear: Thanks for that. Good to know (the order of
this thing). But, don't I have to confirm receipt of the 4 items that they had sent out and received by me?

Note: There were no option provided for me to choose exactly which items were received nor the generic option of either partial or full.

  • Was the delivery address to a parcel locker?

    • Nah, just an ordinary street number and street name …

But what I don't understand is the fact the seller has stated clearly so in AliExpress Message Centre..that of the one single item that was discontinued and that they would send the 4 others…..which clearly means that the seller has NOT sent out the discontinued one at all.

I have already screenshot what was said by the seller in the Message Centre and had also attached (twice) that conversation in AliExpress….but yet AliExpress requested "Please provide proof of non receipt from the post office within 24 hours."…. which means AliExpress really prefer to turn a blind eye to their seller fraudulent activity in their own Message Centre?

      • Looks like they don't care which doesn't surprise me.

What is the cost of the items you didn't receive?

  • So, AliExpress has again ignored the evidence of how their seller is scamming their customers within their own Message Centre. Here's the response today.

I guess I just work out why the seller said '…and then contact us to help you apply for a platform refund after 15 days.',
which just happen to coincide with the expiry of the 'AliExpress protection period'.

What a clever bugger (not to mention AliExpress too).

    Should I now contact PayPal?

  • +1

Lol at that level of customer service..
I stopped buying from Ali Express long ago after I received defective iphone charging cables and they stuffed me around with dumb responses for a few days until i gave up. Would rather just pay more and buy from amazon or ebay. I realised my mental health is worth more.

    • +1

Exactly. And good point (mental thingi). Why didn't I think of that? Though bit hesitant on Amazon (no PayPal). Might try out Temu.

      • +1

Forget about paypal.. You can trust Amazon after sale customer service more than any other company.
Oh and Temu is just another ali express.

  • Yeah AliExpress sides with seller much, for items over a few $. And it's luck of the draw whether photos of the world that don't contain the item will work.
PayPal is 50/50 sht too, maybe card refund?
