  There is a character limit, which makes no sense. (In short: your email address is too long.)

  The red "you must enter a valid email address" message came up as I entered my email and stayed there when I tried to complete the rest of the form, but when I went back and just clicked in the email field again (with the email address still there), the message disappeared and I was able to continue.
