I've been looking for a portable power bank to take camping this summer and found this deal which starts today. Well reviewed unit, and very good price for 512Wh capacity.

"Anker 535 Portable Power Station, 512Wh solar generator (solar panel optional) with LiFePO4 battery pack, 500W 9-port powerhouse."

  • Decent price for a larger capacity battery. Cheaper than an equivalent Jackery 500 for instance

Similar to this - same capacity.

I do like how this one has 2x GPO plugs, but less options on how you could connect up to charge it?

this one has 2x GPO plugs

I don't see any AC output on it, or anything in the spec that says it does.

It has plenty of DC outputs. The Anker unit has plenty of AC outputs. They seem to be intended for quite different uses.

Pretty expensive honestly for only 512wh of capacity. I have a Bluetti EB70. It has 200wh extra capacity, double the AC output, and often goes on special for around $700.

Just recently it was selling for $679 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/785336

Yeah, I have the EB70. Perfect for me.

Main advantage I see with this is that it's half the weight - and a more advanced display. Might suit some.

    • Yep I have the same one and boy that LCD is crap

    • Can you please test how bluetti behaves when it is powering some device (e.g. fridge) while it finishes its own charging at the same time? Does it disconnect its own input and starts discharging until it dies even though input power is connected? (because thats what my Companion 40Ah does) Or does it stay on 100% and keep supplying power from the input?

    • oh man, i was thinking Anker products wouldn't have these issues, but that review is pretty scary. prolly won't get this product now :(

  • is this suitable for a night's worth of sleep with a CPAP device?

    • Sounds like it will depend of you have the heated humidifier or not.

      No heated humidifier? Probably fine.
If it's on, then you may not get 8hrs.

been researching this for the past hour. for those interested:
        * turn off humidifier when using portable power station, else it'll REALLY chew up power very quickly, and make it almost unfeasible (unless you get a huge power station i guess)
        * with humidifier off (i.e. change settings so device doesn't need to heat water), plan for the device to use ~10 watt-hours per hour.
        * Make sure to get a power bank that has car socket, and buy yourself a power adapter for your machine that'll work with the car socket. this'll lower the amount of watts drawn per hour. some AC/DC conversion power loss thing, i'm not an electrician so not going to pretend to understand it, but yea, every source said this. Speaking of which, according to the review video posted by vin021079, the device posted in this thread is probably NOT suitable for CPAP usage, at least not with the car socket thing because, apparently, according to that review video, these anker 535 devices have faulty sockets. check vid for more info i guess.
