Redeeming Woolworths Rewards Points at Self Checkout

Little-known change to Woolworths Rewards program at checkout

The article is from June. Since then has it changed? Can you buy stuff if it's under the $10 spend? How do you select the option to spend your Reward points at Checkout. Have consulted the Woolworths website and chat. "No human friends are available?"

Woolworths redeems in $10 multiples. Coles lets you pay all in FB, but you need the physical card.

how do I even select to pay via Points…? select the corner ORANGE $10 ? (I will try next time).

      • IIRC, it shows as payment method, and will tell you your balance available.

BTW, you don't see point, just dollars. They are converted automatically, unlike Coles. Or is that an optional setting?

After you press the button to confirm payment, there will be a range of payment options on the screen. At the top left there will be an Everyday Rewards button in an orange colour. Tap this button then you can select in multiples of $10, i.e. $10, $20 etc and it will then deduct this from the total price.

If you buy stuff worth less than $10 then you won't get the Everyday Rewards option.

bingo! no wonder!!!!! i have $9.99 on it.

  • If you haven't set it to bank for Christmas or QFF redemption it will prompt you at the payment screen.

    • not anymore I don't think. they changed it.

      • Assume you scanned your card prior to payment…

woolworths just wants people not to spend their points for as long as possible. keep points for a year seems stupid, you've just lost 5% of its value. but woolworths are quite happy to spam you with endless e-begging prompts at the checkouts

  • At my local woolies, it depends on my payment type.

If I scan QR code with Everyday Pay, it asks if i want to use my rewards.

If I just scan my barcode, it then let me choose like in the article.

    • do you need to tap the reward card beforehand. then it shows the option up in the pay screen. So you can't … just beep it when prompt… you HAVE? to tap before hand at the start of the …checkout process<beginning>

WHEN DO You tap the rewards card? Do you need to tap it when prompt to activate the dollar rewards option OR NEED to tap before anything…

          • @ilove: When you scan the groceries…

          • @ilove: You need to swipe your rewards card anytime before you initiate the payment.

            • @ZmbHntr: when prompt? or beginning of the checkout process?

              • +1

@ilove: You can swipe your rewards card anytime before you initiate payment. I normally do it first thing before I start scanning my items but it's also fine anytime while your scanning items and before the payment.
