                    • @Lucille Bluth: I guess you got what I did wrong, I could only goto step 5. Feeling stupid now. I was joking lol

                      • @sqheaven: I'll have to try again to dollar cost average on my investment lol

            • @HaydosK: Ok, that worked, a one-time courtesy refund in exchange for removing both the subscription and the payment, which I was happy with.

              • @nulled: They told me this in the t&Cs for a one-time refund.

                You won’t be able to send or receive emails in Gmail. I messed up so much that the plan got activated on my main Gmail account lol 2004 emails are at risk :D

      • +1

        lol

  • Sadly I doubt this will stick, I reckon google will cancel it, but you never know :(

  • OP wins 2023. Applied to 3 different accounts all with their family sharing. Not even going to cancel G1 or remove my card, won't be around in 2090

    • +2

      until they remove the bug and start charging you $4000 a month

  • +1

    Everyone is talking about google deleting accounts but is there any precedent of this for other google abuses? (I'm not saying there isn't, just asking the question)

    • +1

      0 precedence, likely only those that can't or won't try this are talking about account banning. Worse case they cancel G1 on all affect accounts

    • +1

      The T&C’s might cover it. I am not sure as i’ve never read them.

  • This is definitely against Alphabet's ToS.

  • Worked for me and canceled the plan but cannot remove the card payment method.

    Anyone know how to remove card Google keeps asking for anther payment method.

    • +2

      Cancel the plan first, then the card.

    • How do you cancel the plan ?

      • Go to Settings(one.google.com)

        • Thank you

  • +1

    Thanks. Set it up on a new seperate account. Have cancelled the sub but how to remove payment option. Used a Revolut card but cant remove without it asking for another payment option

    Edit. Sorted it. I had to cancel the sub before removing the payment

    • +1

      Please check it again, I can remove my card easily after canceled the plan without adding any payment option. Done with my CBA card.

      • Thanks for reply.

        Yep edited my comment once I did it that way cheers

  • +4

    Awesome Job @xngbac, Thank you so much.. think I did little mistake, only last till 2078… no worries, I'll be dead by then … haha.

    • +3

      well this gives you something to live for then

  • If I goto settings, change plan, it never changes from 30 to 5TB lol Looks like I messed it up somewhere

  • did it for fun. i only did it bc i cant get my main one banned. it was a separate account i made with my phone without a phone number and a revolut cc. lets hope they dont remove it

  • This guide is out of control

  • +3

    I dont know, I have a feeling. Google will ban our accounts… Or something would happen, and it will be highlighted when thousands of people sign up in 30 tb and expiring in 2090.

    I know google next query in their database would be:

    If "user" plan=30tb β‰₯ 2090 set account status "ban"

    • Mine only go to 2034, must be some error i have made during the process, but I am happy with it not banned by google, I am foolled to use my main account~

  • Once banned by Google it's extremely difficult to get the banned reversed or even looked into. They're like Judge Judy - decisions are final

    • im ready for ozbargain to be collectively ip blacklisted and gettting all their accounts wiped lol

  • anyone cancelled and still kept it?

  • I followed all the steps but somehow only able to get expiry 2068 and not 2090.

  • -4

    I'm surprised this is still up
    Ozbargain shouldn't allow illegal things to be pisted

    • -1

      Ozbargain love this stuff as it drives massive site traffic and revenue generation through ad revenue and other monetization means.

  • Am I the only one who can’t cancel the plan? I had tried to cancel before removing my CC or PayPal but when I press cancel and cancel membership again it still says my membership is active and I will pay $187 in 2090. Tried this on both windows desktop and Google One app on iOS. I have since removed my CC and linked the PayPal but cancelled the automatic payment from PayPal end just in case.

  • Is the step 9 "cancel membership"?

  • Anyone wants to do this without PC, use kiwi browser from Play store , it gives developers options by default.

  • So if you do it on a dummy account, and family share, will that risk my main at all?

    • -2

      Completely risk-free β€” I personally guarantee it

    • +2

      The FUD is strong with you

    • I love respobility

  • Greedy me, created a new one to get 30TB more! Thinking what to upload to use up that space !

    • A 60TB file? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

  • +1
    • Defs wouldn't use it for super important files

      • yeah. i just got it for fun. i dont think they will ban you tho. just remove the sub

  • -1

    Finally. Somewhere to store all the kiddie photos.

    • +9

      I hope you didn't mean what I think you meant.

    • +4

      Might wanna rephrase that. Or just delete it. Yeah, just delete it.

    • NCMEC will be awaiting your referral from Google.

  • great effort

    Didn't work for me, I got to May 2027 on 30TB

    • My wife only got up to 2038 as she already had google 1 and cancelled it last week

      • I used Edge though, but I'll try again on chrome

        Can we do more cycles of the same thing?

        • Sweet I downgraded to 2TB and it went to 2090 lol

    • Did you click the upgrade $/month or upgrade $/year button?

  • +1

    You have to cancel the membership AND cancel subscription.
    On the payments.google.com page, Subscriptions & services tab, it needs to say "No active subscriptions"
    Only then will you be able to remove payment method

    If you go back to one.google.com page, you will still see in the top banner "Your membership will end on …. 2090"

  • +1

    Just stuck here
    Go to Plans(one.google.com)
    From Windows Click F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I (MacOs: Option + ⌘ + J) to open the developer console.

    how to open developer console ? I have tried pressing F12 or or Ctrl + Shift + I in windows but not working

    • +2

      try in Chrome > press the 3 dots on top right > More tools > Developer tools

      • Thanks dear OP is legend & your help made it success for me :)

    • +1

      Google it

  • only showing 20TB available in plans?

    Also cannot get dev console appearing on safari?

    • Did you press "more options" after the 20TB plan?

      • derp thanks

  • +1

    I'm going to try doing one that lasts less long to avoid ban hammer

    • The 2032 one is too short but 2090 is too long. 2068 is where its at but I'm not sure how to get there haha

      • lol i've been experimenting to try to get 2068 too

        anyone got the magic sauce?

        • +3

          [Step 7] I've tried "2C1" to "2C7" randomly for the 200GB, 2TB, and 5TB plans, and it looks like the process is not repeatable for 2TB. 2C1 also doesn't work for 200GB.

          Fot 5TB
          2C9 = 2090
          2C8 = 2090
          2C7 = 2090
          2C6 = no change (doesn't add time, recommended by OP)
          2C5 = 2091 (mentions converting 24k+ days)
          2C4 = no change (doesn't add time)
          2C3 = no change (doesn't add time)
          2C2 = invalid
          2C1 = 2090

          • @tekisei: Nice interrogation

            I've just tried the same steps but in different orders with the same numbers before the 2090, doesn't work

            • +3

              @G Wok: I have cracked it a little bit - further results for 2037 and 2051 below. (Assumes you have completed Step 6)

              For 20TB (monthly)
              2C1, 2C7 to 2C9 = 2037 July
              2C6 = no change (default)
              2C5 = 2037 August (mentions converting 5k+ days)
              2C3, 2C4 = no change (doesn't add time)
              2C2 = invalid

              For 10TB (monthly), results should be the same but with 2051 instead. I haven't yet gone through the process myself, so I accept no liability blah blah.

              I am satisfied with 2051 lol so I'll stop here.

              • @tekisei: bawss!!!

                • +1

                  @G Wok: Ok so I have just done it myself. It looks like I can no longer change my subscription plan so I am personally unsure if it works* - the change subscription button errors out and does not load. Obviously don't do OP's instructions on your main account, and especially don't do the altered Step 7 on your main account.

                  *However, if I go to the Google Play subscription page then I can see that my 30TB subscription (remember to do Step 8 as per OP's instructions) will last until 2051.

                  • @tekisei: I managed to get 2078

                    I did the same steps but must have stuffed one thing up

                  • @tekisei: Ok Tekisei - got 2068!!!

                    Basically click monthly for both the time extension steps instead of yearly
                    so 2TB/month to 2031,
                    Then 5TB/month to 2068

              • +1

                @tekisei:

                I am satisfied with 2051 lol so I'll stop here

                Until you get to 2051 and you start kicking yourself

              • +1

                @tekisei: in step 7 if you select 5TB/month instead of 5TB/year link and make a change you can get upto 2078.
                edit - not step 5, but step 7.

                • @SJ50: Yes this is right.

                  2068 is probably better

    • Lots of FUD words

    • Chill bro.

      Google can track your device info anyway…

  • Its working even after cancelling the plan and removing my card. Thank you OP!

    • +1

      Don't need to remove card. Good luck billing a card that expired 64 years ago.

      • Touche

  • did it, thanks OP

  • Thanks, it works!

  • +1

    anyone got a airtasker coupon so someone could do this for me

    • I can do it for a fee :)

  • Can you cancel via computer browser or you nee to do it from mobile app?
    I went to https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions and https://one.google.com/settings to cancel membership/subscription but my subscription still active.

    • Ok i found out my browser screen font is too big and it hide the cancel subscription option. All good now.

  • If I already have a family account (for YouTube India), can I add this account to the family to share the storage? The new account is an Australian account.

    • Dont do it until we are safe….

      • I haven't tried yet, but was wondering if you could add an Australian Google One account to an Indian Family account.

        Since the India account just handles youtube, I was wondering if I should try the same to get the storage on the India family account.

  • This guy deserves a medal. You're a legend.

  • Done.

    Google. now it is your turn to move.

  • +4

    Happy to pay 10x what they ask for to extend my life until 2090.

    • haha 10x $0 is still $0

  • I'd suggest cancelling the subscription seeing as the storage still works. But it might demonstrate that you had 'second thoughts' should they come knocking. I can see why people neg it, but hey, very creative from OP and worth a crack! Is a $1T company really going to miss $100M of OzB storage?? Haha

    • I actually thought not cancelling might seem more legit than cancelling but you are right , its hard to tell which way they may lean if they came across it. Especially since some dimwit on here reported this to them.
