First learnt about Monin on here. Apparently a good addition to sparkling water as an alternative to soft drink because you can adjust the sweetness.

All other flavours are full price at ~$18 a bottle.

Is adding cordial to sparkling water not something that everyone knows you can do?

    • +2

$8-$9 is comparable to good cordials.
      Can’t find mango cordials

      • Use mango nectar. $3.60 S&S for 2L. Tastes more like mango too.

        • Too watery and not as sweet. I can use it to make mango whip cream.

      • I am curious MakkhiChoos. Do you know any cordials than taste as good as the Monin range?
Try any of the following Monin:
peach, raspberry, grenadine, strawberry or green mint with water. Not the mango flavour as it is not made to mix with water. Then you will get my point and probably never go back to cordials.

        • I don’t. That’s why I bought some.

        • or passionfruit.,….yummmm

      • @ MakkhiChoos - Is this good for making Mango lassi?

    Sugar in a bottle.

This has way more sugar than usual cordials, it's the main ingredient (85%).

    • Yes but you can adjust the amount you have of this one

      • +2

Isn't that what you do with a cordial anyway? Adjust the amount to water?

    • +2

Wow, won’t need as much. Cordials are so watered down.

    • Don't think anyone is disputing that. Very useful when making cocktails, where as little as 5ml to 10ml is used and the quality of the flavour still comes though. Used in baking or cooking, where copious amounts of sugar are already used, a dash of this goes a long way.

  • +4

It would be cheaper to buy 1kg of white sugar and add some mango essence.

Perhaps we get a year's worth of free Ozempic with this.

    • Eh, sounds like a hassle

    Ingredients: :
Sugar, water, concentrated mango juice, concentrated *lemon juice, concentrated orange juice, flavouring, concentrated passion fruit juice, emulsifier: acacia gum, concentrated elderberry juice, colour: 102. Total fruit juice: 24.4%, including 10% mango juice

  • thanks, got some. I used these syrups for cocktails

  • If you goto Mos burger and get the melon soda they use this brand… I can't ever find the melon in aus for a reasonable price

    • Oh word?! I've been missing post-mix melon soda ever since I visited Japan. I'll have to try and track some down.

      • +1

It's more like Melon Soda Water. Not quiet as good as the postmix Melon Fanta, but it's something.

Nowhere near as good as Melon Calpis Soda

  • Thanks OP. I prefer the bigger plastic bottle versions like this one. This also has 50+% mango puree, understandably more expensive as well. Love the other flavours

  • so you're telling me that if i skull this…

never heard of this and I thought I loved my mango. Ozbargain introducing me to premium everything

    • Me too. Ordered 3. Lets hope cordial made from it tastes good.

  • Great price

  • Order placed, thanks!

  • This shiz is liquid gold, used it in my kombucha. Nothing really comes close.

I got hazelnut and it was disgusting 🤮
    It used to be nice.

  • Anyone know where you can get a good Yuzu syrup? I've been looking for it ever since I was served some in a ginger beer. Hands down best drink of my life.

  • Is this good for keto

    • -1

It's straight up sugar so no

  • +1

love monin syrups. Vanilla (1L is plastic bottle, safer shipping) and the Hazelnut flavor we use all the time for our coffees.
The woolies/coles brand stuff is watered down and expensive.
