Beware, some very average looking reviews https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/find-sports

    • Almost one star. Damn

Every single review says they are a scam website.

You'd be insane to buy this

      • I have purchased from them before. Not a scam, just very poorly run.

Quality of their Find brand westsuits is quite low but probably worth the RRP, so a huge discount is a genuine bargain.

    • wow! Thanks for sharing this. So many claims saying it's a scam website.
Sorry OP, this one is a neg from me

I've personally bought from Findsports before and been to their shop in Dandenong. I can say that they're a legitimate business, but maybe have their struggles in managing an online business, and might be slow to reply. They have a lot of well priced and hard to find stock there, but i've only ever had the luxury of being able to go into their store and speak to someone rather than shipping stuff out.

Hmm . Seems legitimate to me. I ordered and have au post tracking numbers. That review site seems dodgy.

      That review site seems dodgy.

You are not affiliates , are you ? LOL

      • No. I spent $200 though so vaguely worried now but I do trust my own scam detector device.

          Thanks for letting us know

    • I agree looks like a legitimate but poorly run site. ABN number happens to be the same colour as the background, hence not visible. UX is terrible.

what a strange website.. they seem to sell surf/skate wear, but then they also sell https://www.findsports.com.au/p/whites-mirror-black-honda-vf…

Make sure to check your mirrors before surfing left and right

Really good bargains dont come from well run companies think Dick Smith , Masters hardware . Ahh those were the days . Its out of loyalty to Oz bargain I occasionally post as the Oz bargain community has been good to me and bad for my wallet. Better than gambling but somehow similar. I do find my posts are often canned or deleted but I still try to give back to Oz Bargain and contribute to the healthy function of capitalism that has given so much to me.

Take it easy man. why are you so defensive ? Are you sure you are not affliated with this shop ? Just asking for friend

      • My guess is that he spent $200 on stuff from this site but you never know…

      • Oz bargain depends on people sharing bargains having a positive experience we need to make it such. Not affiliated sigh…

  • Sigh. Wetsuits are so hard to buy if you’re thin. I’m in the XXL size for height but according to every other measurement I’m in the M size category.

    • Wait for this to come on sale again, problem solved

    • Sometimes you just have to get a custom measure. They cost more but definitely worth it. I had one made up a few years ago and never regretted.

    • Other brands come in slim or tall size.

    • +1

You can get 'tall' version of wetsuits (same length but smaller chest etc) - they have 'T' in their sizing.

If you buy a more upmarket surf suit (talking $300 range - and keeping in mind that top line are $600+) then they are very stretchy so you can get away with one that, technically, is the 'wrong' size - an XLT suit will probably suit you fine. Some suits are also cut narrower than others eg rip curl tends to be narrower cut and Xcel larger. You really need to hit a store and try them on but you should be able to find one that fits. I'm also a bit all over the place - XL in height but M in waist and XXL in chest/shoulders. You just have to do the best you can and good suits offer a lot of contingency by being stretchy.

Of course if you just want a suit to splash around in the waves then paying $300 might be a bit much. In that case get a cheap XL or XXL wetsuit and then a cheap 2mm or 3mm wetsuit top (no zip) and wear it underneath the wetsuit. Its a bit constrictive but will keep you warm

  • We need a star system so long term Oz Bargain loyalists are obvious without having to click through. People who have only been members for a few days can have there comments appear with equal weight to a newbie without some sort of star system like ebay. Plus I like badges.

    • Star systems just get as corrupt as the next. It probably won't even matter.

      • Hey you've got 25 badges. Respect.

        • That makes me, IMO, as reliable as anyone else.

I purchased $300 worth last Sunday for pick-up and still waiting for confirmation to pick up.

I emailed them 3 times and they only replied to my first email.

    • Update, picked up my items last Saturday… 2 of them are Out Of Stock…

They replaced 1 item with similar item and cancelled the other one…

  • Cheap prices but reviews are quite bad

    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/find-sports

  • Bought an epoxy surfboard about 1.5 years ago from their Sydney store, and one of the fin boxes ripped out, just from surfing (didn't bump into anything). Nice shape, but not made properly at all- hence super cheap price. Went to take it back 3 weeks after I bought it, and the shop had closed. Nobody to call, no response from email. So cheap, but not cheerful!
Can confirm, it's a legit company, and $17 for a full length wetsuit- same price as a pint of craft beer these days- unbelievable!

    • You can rip out the fin box of the most pro surfboard money can buy, just from surfing.
It is actually quite common and not necessarily related to manufacturing at all.

If you could come up with an 'unbreakable', and viable, fin box, you'd be instant millionaire.
There's a lot of force going on for such a tiny area.

      • In 30 years of surfing, I've not ripped a fin box out of any other surfboards just from surfing, and I've owned dozens. Point is: Find products (especially surfboards) are not well made and aren't designed to last long. Cheap junk for beginners or once in a blue moon use.

        • I don't think that your personal experience paints a complete pictures.
Pros destroy finboxes (and boards altogether) all the times, just from surfing.

Performance surfboards aren't really designed to last long.
Actually, the lighter the glassing, the higher the performance, the shorter the lifespan.

Nothing to do with your point on this shop selling crap

          • -1

@Hasbulla: Doesn't sound like @Hasbulla knows what they're talking about. Why would anyone but a pro (who intended on riding a board only a few times) want a pro surfboard? And what pro buys a surfboard from a discount shop for $400? (Ok well pros get their boards free or big discounts). A pro board is glassed with very thin layers to save weight, but still has a second, or third patch of glass around the fins. Otherwise the fins boxes would break, exactly as the fins on the "Find" board I'm commenting on did which was obviously not made to minimum standards and did not last long- 3 or 4 surfs in head high or smaller crumbly waves. "Cheap" is a false economy if you consider cost per use.

  • Got an order confirmation right away with tax invoice. Just received an Auspost tracking number via SMS only 2 hours later, which is probably the fastest dispatch I've ever seen in an online order in Australia.

What does a German animal doctor wear when he goes surfing??

    A Vet suit !!!

  • Sea Man costume

  • So are they a legit site or what? Some great prices on o&e wetties

  • Seems to be a mirrored site of "force industries" force.net.au although prices are much different.

  • got my wetsuit yesterday to Sydney

  • got mine delivered today (on a Sunday! Australia Post).

Quality is decent for the price you can't go wrong. Time will tell how long they last but there is really nothing else at this price point.

Not sure why this deal is marked as expired, still some stock. Also Women's suits and other wetsuits and colors available at the same price, and many more under $30
