    Spam is not a bargain.

  • So basically $1352 to $2080 for an iPhone 5.

    Rental companies are scammers.

  • +6

Considerably more expensive than going through a plan with calls/smss/etc. included.

$20/week amounts to $2,080 overall. You can get an iPhone 5 16GB which they'll unlock for free from Virgin with a plan for $1,128 over 52 weeks ($21.69/week but for 12 months instead of 24).

    This is a ludicrous rip-off.

    • Yah, rather sign a plan & ends up pay a lot cheaper. This is pure spam.

  • So for a year its $1352
Hmm, Do you get to keep the Iphone?
    Where is the bargain?

  • 26 * 52 = $1352 for an iphone?

and what does * mean in "From $26.00 p/week*" ?

  • How is this even remotely close to being better than a iPhone5 on a plan? which includes free data and calls??

  • +3

$20/week = $2080 over 2 years… wow you picked the wrong site to advertise!

  • $86.60 PCM. if rented for 24 months.
Might as well just sign a 24 months contract with telcos and get lots of calls and data included.

  • :( I misread it as per month and thought it was a screamer of a deal :( Ah well.

    • me too… lol

  • Moderator, please get rid of this guy. What a joke! You've seriously picked the wrong place to post your 'bargain'!!

  • Saluting OP for guts to post such thing on Ozbargain, there is only gonna be one outcome for posting this 'deal'.

PS: OP, if by any chance you are genuine and were not trying to troll, just tell me, why would ANYONE sign up this than just signing up a mobile plan? A plan is cheaper than your rental and actually includes a service.

i guess there are some people that the carriers would not give a contract too… the type of people who can least afford to become an "Approved Rental Applicant."

    LMFAO GTFO.

  • +2

    $20 x 52 x 2 = $2080

for an iphone is not a bargain !!! it is extortion !!!

  • At this price its nothing more than spam.

  • Spam….. would work out more than a contract with a telco company with included call

  • What a rip!
For $20 a week you can pretty much get a decent 4G plan with phone included!

  • +4

How you people manage to dupe people in to bs contacts amazes me, you pray on the unfortunante and misinformed and it's horrible.

You are charging between $1352-2080 for a phone worth less than $800!

Anyone who works for company's like yours aught to be ashamed of themselves, not only is this not a deal but your lesser even than the scum bags that give insanely high credit card interest rates and limits to those that clearly can't afford it.

Just to sum up incase your incapable of figuring it out -

You are scum/scammers that should be ashamed and embarrassed at your profession.

For less than this 16Gb phone, you can get a Tel$tra 32Gb phone, $800 worth of calls per month and 2.5Gb data per month on Tel$tra's 4G network.

    http://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/mobile-phones/iphone…

    appliancesrental.com.au = $2080
    Tel$tra = $2064

I hope something moderately unpleasant but non lethal happens to this business

    • I hope something moderately unpleasant but non lethal happens to this business

      LOL

  • $2080 for a new iPhone? So over 2 years your charging what, 80% interest p.a. LOL

    SPAM!

  • $20/week? How about I rent it to you for $19.95/week? Now that's what i called bargain!

  • lol

  • Terrible deal!

  • you just got Ozbargained bitch :P

  • What if you don't pay the rental?

  • +1

    • +1

nah, many cotd deals have done much better :)

  • I could get an Iphone5 + 50 inch TV and a hooker for less than this !

According to the epic threads wiki the most net neg votes is this deal with 28 neg and 3 pos (so -25) so this deal only needs 2 more.

  • what a joke take this off OzBargain please!

  • Clearly no deal

  • Has any single post on Ozbargain ever had more negative votes?

    • Many have had more negative. But this may be the first I've seen with so many negative and no positive at all.

Nice to see that everyone feels the same way about these places.

  • Hahaha, why would anyone ever pay this much?

    Not a bargain.
