Folding locks are not very good; get a decent chain or D-lock.
id like to consult lockpicking lawyer on this one.
Here's LPL's bike lock of choice, a chain lock.

Chain locks are difficult to cut since they don't hold still.
I just had a look at JBs electric commuter bikes. There are 8 of them. Check this one out, the Smacircle.
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/smacircle-s1-electric-bik…
I wouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for it. They want $2399. Crazy, man.
I've seen one in store, they feel even cheaper and dodgier than they look
Smacircle is online only = 3rd party. It's also not on clearance
if you absolutely have to look like a massive tool, buy one of these. See the beardy ginger in the on page ad….that alone should stop you from buying one
I find their lack of conflict-free organic soy keto chai single-origin bean latte disturbing, a grade 9 hipster clearly taken from its natural habitat.
Does that mean these are the new fixie?
Its the fact that its not specifically labelled as suitable for LGBTQI2S people that puts me off….
Get a decent D-lock or say goodbye to your bike. I use the Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboutit and it does the job. The Hiplok D1000 is another D-lock that comes up all the time in forums and is popular.
Just to add…can get it with the 15% off ultimate cards from previous post
They should release a line with lots of LEDs for riding at night, and call them
These bike are assembled if bought from in-store??????
no
handle bar, front wheel, mudguards, seat to be assembled.
Sadly not, but you can get an assembled keyboard that doesn't have a stuck ?
key in-store.
I assume this bike is unsuitable for hilly terrain due to the single gear? or does it not matter because of the motor?
You will have to put in a fair amount of effort to get up a steep hill.
yeah need some effort.
but I'd imagine the pedal assistance and gears would be little confusing to coordinate
Some stock of the $399 model in Victoria, but not NSW.
