Dad’s iPhone decided to quit out of the blue so we are looking at replacing with iPhone 14 128gb.
Does anyone think we can expect to see sales of iPhone 14 anytime soon (at the $1,000 level)?

I agree. The comparison really should be between iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15. iPhone 14 would be considered out of date now. (Though Apple will keep selling it like they've been doing in the past few years)
What concerns me is that for an old man the pro range seems to be a bit heavy :(
The pro range also barely fits in women’s clothes pockets, so it’s a no from me too!

why doesnt he quit iphone and get an android?
Because he has Apple Watch and iPad and Apple TV. Plus he found a bit hard to use the Android system (I tried to get him to use Samsung tablet to try out). So has to stick to the ecosystem.
14 128gb was just at 1088 recently, so maybe but stock will be limited going forward.
