Does the T&C mention the risk of your data being leaked?

I assume the rate is 0% since paying 1c more then the principle is not a bargain

    • Surely it's at least at inflation?

Deal with this mob and your personal information at your peril.

They haven't provided no follow up information on personal leaked information since May 23 for me, any replacement documents and need to ring an overseas call centre which palm you off! or uncontactable.

How they still remain a going concern amazes me and last business I would deal with, even if I was broke!

If I wanted to give my data away I'd go get an Optus phone plan. No deal here

Did a five year old modify this template website and forget to add the company logo?

    What a bunch of amateurs!

    • They take pride in their efforts taken to protect your privacy!

All applications come with FREE identification theft!

I phoned Latitude and they said if I have nothing to hide than my personal information shouldn't matter if it goes public.

I should have scrutinised their reputation further after their spokesman shot two people on a film set.

Leaked my details for a credit check of $0.00, don't respond to communications and had to jump through hoops for a license fee reimbursement as a result of leaked data.

Only thing I've received from lattidue is spam and identity fraud potential. Stay away.

Hard pass! No deal, the cost to you is too high. Eg after the leak I was slammed with too many spam text and emails.

Their call centre was useless when I called seeking assistance and to understand how they could help me. I ended hanging up.

They can't be trusted to secure your date. Take a wide berth.

Update from Gordon Legal class action below:

    Dear Registrant,

This is an update about our recent work on the Latitude Financial data breach class action investigation.

    Registrations

Thank you all for your help so far in registering and responding to our surveys. You have helped us us to build a picture of the effects of the Latitude data breach on customers. Our registrations for the Class Action Investigation are continuing to increase. Since our last update we have had an additional 15,000 registrations, bringing us to a total of around 70,000 people. This is an incredible rate of response.

Registrations are still open and we encourage anyone who has been affected by the data breach to share their experiences with us, if you haven’t done so already.

We are continuing to work through your registrations and survey responses to gain a better understanding of what happened and how the data breach affected you. This information is helping us to build a case against Latitude.

Almost all of you have reported:

    A large increase in spam calls;
Difficulties getting in touch with Latitude; and/or
Needing to spend time to replace stolen identity documents.

    Complaint to the Privacy Ombudsman

As you are aware, we filed a representative complaint with the Australian Privacy Ombudsman (the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner) regarding the data breach. We also filed a representative complaint with the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner for New Zealand-based customers.

We understand that the OAIC and the NZ Office of the Privacy Commissioner are conducting a joint investigation into the data breach. They have not released any updates about the progress of their investigations yet.

We understand the OAIC has been required to appear in the Medibank Data Breach proceedings to answer the Court’s questions about delays in that case.

We are continuing to monitor the progress of these cases and will be in touch when we have new information for you.

At this stage, our investigations are continuing into bringing a class action against Latitude.

We will provide you with a further update in the coming weeks.

    Kind regards,

    Gordon Legal

There will be a scheduled outage on Latitude Personal Loans system from 5.00pm AEST on Friday 15th September to 12.00pm AEST on Monday 18th September. During this time, our team will not be able to fulfil any servicing queries. If you currently have an application with us, there may be delays in receiving your funds due to this scheduled outage. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Lol why would you post a deal right before the outage?

Also, $13/month service fee - ouch

Add the leaked details and yeah, that's a neg from me

I'm seeing a lot of red flags here and OP is no where to be found to reply to the concerns raised.
