  • Not Crash related. Not interested.

  • Ugh tempted, was looking at their 75" FFalcon TV too and to get that and this shipped to 3058 is $76

  • Great find! Specs vs Price is insane but seems to have quality issues according to reviews?
Could be a roll of the dice

    • It's decent value consdering the suspension included, but speed wise seems okay

So I just purchased a Apollo City for a great price $1190 it was on special for a few hundred dollars cheaper and then I added $200 off for fathers day special.
This Bandicoot Electric Scooter is a direct copy of the Apollo City, in looks anyway, not sure about the quality of parts, app, regen braking that the ad doesn't seem to mention.
But I did notice that one of the info photos on JB said the Bandicoot has a 350w motor and it climbs a 25 degree slope, which is BS because even the twin motor Apollo City Pro
is advertised as being 20 degrees capable. The non-pro City single motor 500w is advertised as being only 10 degrees capable and has a weight litmit of 100kg. Then the rest of the ad for the Bandicoot has specs with a 500w motor. So which is it a 350w or 500w motor? Anyway just thought I should mention my observations, and you guys can do what you like with them. The $200 off code at Electric Kicks is CITYSPECIAL which is difficult to find on their website but it worked for me, if your interested.

  • Can this scooter be hacked to go faster than 25km/hr?

  • Reviews wouldn’t make me want to buy this scooter. Too many issues and someone wouldn’t detail them just to be a dik.

Cons - I am concerned about the QA and build quality of these scooter. The first scooter I bought had a defect out of the box so was swapped for a new one. The second ultimately had a failure of the suspension and the brake and accelerator lever kept getting ‘stuck’ in the on position. It was returned for a full refund after 4 weeks. - My suspensions starting squeaking badly after 2-3 weeks. The manual says to oil bearings, etc, but that didn’t fix it. - I found the two drum brakes almost useless. I adjusted them to make them tighter, but I couldn’t get them to work well (essentially felt very weak). - As others have mentioned, the mechanism to lock the stem into the base in transport mode is useless. - The charging brick gets exceptionally hot when charging. - The battery remaining indictor on mine jumped all over the place. So it was hard to know how far this scooter would actually go. I also noticed the performance of the motor would drop as the battery dropped.

I have read some quality issues with the scooter, but it seems to be hit and miss and may have been more of an issue early on. The newer reviews seem to be very positive, including on Youtube. For $799 for a high end scooter, and JB HiFi warranty of 2 years, its a gamble worth taking IMO.

  • Don't seem to be working

  • Just thought I would share my thoughts on this scooter. The speed is hard locked to 25km/hr and there is no way to change it to make it go faster. This was confirmed by the scooter shop I took it in to. Also the support from Panmi (the distributors) was terrible - will never buy anything from them. Apart from that, the brakes felt very loose with poor stopping distance, and the scooter made a rattling noise when being ridden. Needless to say I returned it to JB and will be looking for something that is not severely crimped/limited, even if it costs more.
