This is a good buy…
That code also takes $100 off the Q3100 family model.
Takes $131 off the Weber Spirit II as well
how does this compare to the q3100?
Great price, sales on these are few and far between
I’ve been watching these a while deciding between this and a Ziggy. They’re literally on sale every other month at bcf etc
ok fair call, I've had mine for a few years now but remembered having to wait a long time for a deal to come up - I guess that's changed now
My 6-burner finally bit the dust so I'm looking at downsizing to something smaller that can more effectively roast. Has anyone attempted to feed a family of 4 from one of these?
Yeah. You just gotta make sure that the burners are off and the grills have cooled down, otherwise it’s a fairly painful meal.
It says 6 people in the description - what concerns would you have regarding feeding your four?
Genuine question as I'm looking to buy this for my family's first BBQ - 2 adults 2 kids.
I've seen a lot of BBQs that oversell how much food you can prep in one go. It's like how many people will fit in a tent - you could technically squeeze 6 people into a 6-person tent, but nobody's having a good time.
I have the family q and I'd say that it is only just big enough for 4.
I cook for me and my partner and at times can only just fit enough. I'll easily fill the grill when grilling veggies for us 2 or roasting a chook and enough roast veggies for 2.
If you are cooking sausages and steak, then you'll likely have enough room in the family for 4. But I reckon the baby q would be near capacity.
You're likely going to want the larger models, these have a pretty small cooking surface. The Baby Q is really only good for travelling families, where storage space is a consideration, or maybe small families of 2-3 people.
Would really like to see TGG expand their Weber range. I was hoping to see a special on the Weber Traveller, or a Q1200, but they don't stock them.
Weber also needs to come to the party with a Flame Failure safeguard option for people that want to hook them up to a caravan, like the Ziggy Nomad. A Weber Traveller with Flame Failure safeguard would be pretty perfect. The FAQ at Weber says they won't be out till late 2023 though, and it only mentions the Q1200 model.
From the Ziggy Nomad site - "Australian standards were updated and took affect in October 2020 which requires any gas appliance that uses the fixed gas supply of a caravan (from the gas cylinder that is usually located at the front of the van) to have flame supervision (e.g., flame failure valves)."
The replacement model has been announced Weber so they're clearing out the old Weber Q range
Do you have a link to the new models? Thinking about upgrading to a Family but may hold off if a new one is coming.
Only seen it on their Facebook so far.
https://fb.watch/m-QWxnkRiA/?mibextid=6aamW6Thanks!!! Might see some good bargains coming for the Weber Q range.
Thought they were getting ready to launch a space shuttle.
damn missed it
EDIT
Seems to still be available, but no stock in QLD, pickup is defaulting to Ballina The Good Guys NSWIt's not expired for me? Just purchased and code still working
For years I cooked on an induction thinking I knew meat. Thinking I had a bond with my steak.
It was all lies.. until I unboxed the Weber.
Make it happen or f### you.
The price says $254 now but no code working? Hey I'm pretty happy with that.
Yes noticed this too. I think there is another one with the higher lid and temperature gauge? Not sure if I should grab this or not.
I bought it but they sent me a q2000 black instead lol
discount code :)
