  • Egghhh so tempting.

  • Whats the diff between normal and pro?

    • +7

      Ok.
      Two Companies make beyblades.
      Hasbro and Takara Tomy.

      Takara Tomy for Japan
Hasbro most of the rest of the world.

Takara Tomy Beyblades are known for their quality. (But are also more expensive)

The various Pro Series by Hasbro are Takara Tomy Beyblades but made by hasbro with lower quality materials.

The "normal" beyblades by hasbro are just the non takara tomy designs.

P.s. If just buying for a kid, it wont really matter that much. The Takara Tomy Beyblades quality is really only for the collectors and beyblade fiends who are quality focused

      • How do you know so much? Are you a fan?

        • +2

          Played it as a kid.
Sucker for nostalgia so looked into Beyblades for nostalgia.
Went down the rabbit hope of Beyblades.

          • @[Deactivated]: where can we get those takara ones in aus?

            • +1

@mrhamez: The biggest problem with getting TT Beyblades outside of japan is a lot of them are fake.
Most people just use a company like zenmarket to buy in japan and ship to them.

Amazon has some sellers but I can't personally recommend anyone in Aus because I don't know their authenticity.

      • Which company made my metal middle rings that has sparkler material built in so that it'd spark on impact with other metal rings or even random bricks walls? 😅

This product looked like mad nostalgia, shame I missed it.

        • I don't think there was ever anything official that created intentional sparks on impact other than Thunder Dragon MS and Spark Knight
          There's TT launchers that spark e.g. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334655177072

    lets beyblaaaaaaade!

  • damn this is epic

  • +1

Back when I was a kiddo I used one of these plastic basins from the dollar store for my Beyblades

    • +2

We actually use a large wok when I was a kid. We also use fake beyblades made of metal, sparks fly when they actually hit each other.

  • How much would it typically cost to manufacture it? I would think selling it for $90 is a huge mark up

  • Thanks OP, Just what my son wanted for his birthday :)

  • I cannot control this much power

  • Amazon auto price algorithm adjusted to 89.99 as Kmart went out of stock, I happened to order when cart price was $89.99 but website was $40, got a screenshot and a $50 gift card credit. Screenshot if you wanna try: https://puu.sh/JPG1y.png

  • Says 90 for me :(

  • I have this set and it's a no brainer at $40 if your kids are into Beyblades. The stadium is fun to battle on and keeps the beys inside when they burst, the 2 pro series Beys are also much better quality than the standard Hasbro none pro series.

  • No way! I didn't realise beyblades were still a thing… Day made
