If you are going to a professional who lets you know what coating they are going to apply beforehand and you make sure it isnβt just some spray sealant they are ripping you off on it can definitely be worth it.
Easier to maintain your vehicle and adds a layer of protection which can protect your car especially if it spends long periods outside.
True DIY ceramic coatings are very affordable now days, check out gyeons range.
You can do your own paint corrections with a $150 investment and get 90% of the results of a professional detailing. It will take hours to complete though. Tbh a lot of detailing places will rush through the job anyways compared to what you may be willing to do yourself.
Even with a ceramic coating your car will still get dirty though, but it's good for chemical protection and the long-term health of the paint. It offers next to no physical protection though so if you're getting it muddy regularly you can expect to see swirl marks again before long.
Thanks a lot for the info @AusNugz and @TrulyUnicorn. I have decided to go with the professional ceramic coating as I simply don't have time for DIY. Have found a reputable place which has amazing reviews and said that I should get 5 years out of the coating
For my info, name and which state is your detailer in?
Ended. Back to $34.13. Party's over guys!
Shows $34.13 for me?
Expired, mate
Ooft, $41!!
Yeah, it was a steal at $23-25
Back to $40.69
I've been using Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax and when I saw this deal I thought maybe its a better product and I need to change. I watched many Youtube videos on comparisons with the Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray (plus other ceramic sprays), and most of the videos usually say the Turtle Wax is slightly better or is preferred choice between the two (only slightly) from short term/quick tests ..but I found another video which conducted actual real life testing over months, and in Aus and Turtle Wax performed poorly long-term, especially compared to Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax or Bowdens Bead Machine. So I'll stick with Meguiars or go Bowdens next. Checkout the video for long-term outdoor testing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovb6_K6-zoM
Got the bottle today but its leaking..can I still use ?
Yes but I would chat to Amazon help. That is not cool! Contaminated / opened. Make sure you take photos. They're usually pretty good about credit / extra bottle etc
Thanks will do.
Let us know how you go, with both the leaking bottle issue, and the ceramic spray application!

@dangerdanger: I just sent a return request and it went to refund automatically!!
Another 2-3 weeks lol to make time to wash car. Have you done ?
@life is suffering: I've been using the ceramic spray for about a year now. It's great!
Did they let you keep the bottle
@dangerdanger: There was nothing about the bottle. I think so
@life is suffering: Great service from Amazon
@dangerdanger: Yeah π
I just had an Amazon email saying this was returned and refund being provided.. never actually received it!
?! So strange. My 2 bottles arrived last week, no problems
Got the bottle recently and haven't used yet.. Can anyone recommend a waterless carwash (spray and wipe) to wash the vehicle before applying the product?
Never received it weird
Does anyone know if it is worth getting your car professionally ceramic coated? Looks to be around $800+ with paint correction as well. My car gets very dirty at work and is exposed to fertilizers etc. Cheers
