This pricing is a little strange, so posting it here.

The Pro is amazing value, however, call me mad, I prefer the standard as it is Stainless Steel (believe if better for your health and doesn't retain food odours as much as the pro. Personal opinion only.

Beville also have a Spice Rack and On-Line cooking class promo, which ends 10th September, when purchased from participating retailers. Good Guys is listed, but not 100% sure about if Commercial is included. I have applied, will update if approved.

I am not going to claim a pressure cooker is perfect for everyone, what I will say is that it is great for tender meats like Legs of Lamb and Ribs. I find Marinating is essential, as cooking time is not quick enough to absorb flavours.

Cooking times (while real, need to include pre-head and natural release).
eg: 2 racks of pork ribs cook in $30minutes and fall off the bone
Pre-heating can be 10-15minutes, natural release can be 20minutes, so factor these in.

    • Yes for the standard, Pro is $383. $242 is insane for the Pro.
      Anyone interested the Myer sale ends 10th September.

    I've had the pro for (7) years. It's been really solid.
    Have to agree with the Teflon pot as OP mentioned. I have bought a new pot because the coating tends to go every so often.

    The Go series is actually newer!

    The new trend is a pressure cooker with an airfryer in the lid (plus settings for everything in between). At $299 for a Ninja or similar…get that.

    • Interesting, I had not heard of these. Makes a lot of sense, as after I do my ribs I add more sauce and put under the grill.

        Some you swap the lid, others are all built in.

        Undecided which is better. Convenience vs practicality… Airfryer element covered in rib splatter would probably produce a heap of smoke.

        • Look at how far away the air fryers element is to the base, some of these with eh add on are too high and make an average to poor air fryer.

          • @snuke: Hmmm… We are talking centimetres. Oven element is a lot further way from the racks… still browns.

            Someone I know made a pie in the pressure cooker, then put pastry on top and air fried. Worked perfectly.

            • @tunzafun001: My other half does this with things like Macaroni cheese. Make in the InstantPot and then use the Airfryer lid to finish off the bread crumbs at the end.

            • @tunzafun001: Centimetres can make all the difference for what is an afterthought add on for some devices.
              Feedback on here in regards to Insta Pot version was that it was half arsed and just took far longer than it should.

              The Ninja one looks much better, and a video I just watched said it had good results, compared to another two Ninjas that were just air fryers.

    I had a Go Slow Pro and I had the unreliability issue with the lid seal. I got an InstantPot instead. The functionality of the Breville Go Slow Pro is good but I just got sick of the seal issue. Hopefully they’ve fixed it now. I also prefer the stainless steal for the InstantPot.
