  • So, if I use the trade-up app and pick "damaged screen" for my phone, and the app says it's worth just $1, and I choose not to send the phone to Samsung, they'll only charge me $61, right?

  • Has anyone had any experience trying to cancel an 'online exclusive colour' order? (Or return for refund?)

    I placed an order on 7 Sep with [this deal] (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/798255) and of course a few hours later I see this even better deal and now I have buyers regret…

    Samsung's Terms of Sale seem to exclude the online exclusive colours from their change of mind policy, see point 9 on [this page] (https://www.samsung.com/au/smartphones/galaxy-s23/buy/) at the very bottom. But just wanted to hear if anyone had any experience (successful or not) with this.

            While there is a difference between $500 and $300, stacking all the codes already bring the phone down so low. If you look at the mega thread there are barely anyone providing codes in there and 7 pages of users asking for code.

    PSA: do not leave the transaction part way through to check something.

    I'm now waiting 2-3 business days for a new trade up number since it used the trade in, charging me, before the order was actually placed.

  • OK, I bought one phone but Asurion charged me more than 3 times. What's the best way to call or contact them? I can lodge a dispute through my credit card but thought to give them a ring first. Thanks in advance. Grateful also for some advice from the more experienced members here.

    Edit: This must have stemmed from me changing a few details, after the Asurion section, but right before making the final payment to Samsung. And now, I have more than 1 trade-up ID, when in fact, I finalised one transaction only.

    I did some Google searches for their contact details and perused their website. None at all, what an amazing company. Submitted the query form and sent an email to their Samsung trade-up email. Hopefully, somebody will reach out, as otherwise, I will file in dispute with my credit card provider.

    • Yeah, they will charge you every time you are applying a trade in. Previously I cant remember if I've given them a call or email, but they did revert my $1. if you are doing big trade-in, then better get them to refund asap.

  • Late to the party on this one. I've checked my emails, no $500 trade in email.

    So given that, a few things

    1. Is there no way to retrospectively receive this $500 trade in bonus email? (e.g. register new email address for offers etc)
    2. If no dice on the above, is the max trade in $300?

    I've a Note 10 I've been using for 4 years now, still in printine condition but thought it would be a nice time to upgrade.

    Also I had a screen replaced in an S22 Ultra at a surburban phone repair shop.
    Will they be able to tell its been replaced & reduce my trade in value?

    • Whatever you pay on the checkout it will be on your invoice (minus all the discount). Also, they won't be able to see or judge you have replaced the screen as long as it's working. But why would you send them just pay $60 non return fee and sell it for more on marketplace.

      • It is $60 + phone value, and S22 ultra 128gb appears to be $535 for trade in. So they will need to sell for $595 or higher and go through all dodgy lowball buyers and potential scam on gumtree/fb marketplace.

                    @CodeXD: For me, I just told them what device Im using without the IMEI provided and said Im out of town, then they just sent me the 10% code at no time. Not sure if it works for everyone but you can try if you dont want to talk to the rep.

      Talked to a rep on online-chat, says that since its been waiting for approval for over 24h she has escalated the case to the ''back-office". Apparently 7 day turnaround…

    • no ETA for my order too, status is "Waiting for Approval". I requested customer service via chat to escalate to their back office yesterday, but no change. I chose "pickup at one of their stores" to speed up but not sure if this makes a difference.

      • Mine's shipped now. Went from Waiting for Approval to Order confirmation the day after talking to the rep, and was shipped the day after order confirmation. Hopefully you get some good news tomorrow.

          He couldn't solve it.

    I have never willingly signed up for so many promotion marketing emails in my life. Here's to the next round for everyone that didn't get in this one.

    • How many are there apart from the main account one and the secret sale one someone linked earlier? Strangely enough haven't been spammed by Samsung at all compared to the usual mobs.

      • The chat agent box has a marketing email tick box, the secret sale one has a few different categories, and samsung account has a marketing tick box as well. I think the secret sale one is your best bet, but I signed up for as many as I can anyway.
