Wondering where the Ford owners go, I recently purchased an XR6T.
The previous owner went to Tunehouse, however they are pretty pricey. Almost like I have a BMW/Merc. About $1k-1.5k+ for a service and anything extra as per the log book.

Ford is cheaper
It's been tuned so I think they'll reset the CPU if I do.
Go anywhere. Best thing about the XR6T is any mechanic will know it inside out. It's just a falcon with a turbo slapped on. Very easy car to work on and cheap parts.
When I had mine I was paying $250 for service with synthetic oil / filters etc
Sydney's a pretty big place. If you're in the Northern Beaches, are you prepared to go to Campbelltown?
Yeah I could do Campbelltown, honestly don't mind travelling out.
Where are you based? Find a reputable mechanic in your area
"like I have a BMW/Merc. About $1k-1.5k+ for a service"
That's not BMW/Merc, that's full fat M and AMG prices.
What a rip off.
As stated the Barra is easy to service. Any mechanic will know what to do.
but all the kiddies will say they got a TUNEHOUSE TUNE….
after all google says
Tunehouse | Sydney's Most Professional Automotive Workshop
"Tunehouse | Sydney's Most Professional Automotive Workshop"
and they are certainly charging for the professionalism.
Maybe find a Ford forum, Facebook page or club online, I’m sure they would be have someone to recommend in Sydney. It’s a pretty common car it shouldn’t be too hard to find someone.
Not sure if you'll be able to find anyone to work on it, they are pretty rare.
Largely because everyone hates the Barra motor because it’s unreliable and doesn’t make enough power.
While Oil/Filters is easy, it's part of the schedule to check the the torque of the the nuts on the exhaust manifold to to head and turbo to exhaust manifold to turbo, so make sure whomever is doing the service is also checking this.
Oil feed line to turbo also have a screen mesh filter that blocks up. If it already has an aftermarket oil feed line the filter also has to be cleaned.
You could go to any Falcon specialists like CMS, Autotech, Precision Racing, but they may try to convince to re-tune with them.
I wouldn't bother with Tunehouse that's for sure. Took them 9 months to return a phone call.
As you've just bought it, it would be wise to get it checked out, front to back. Lots of consumables up like engine mounts, diff bushes
Do it yourself.
