Today I received my Energy Gas bill of approx 1000$ from Alinta, they informed me that they will be raising price from 1st August insanely; So, I switched the provider on 28th July 2023 by selecting CovaU from compare.energy; Now, even after 40 days, I was not switched to CovaU, and now I ripped off by Alinta š”š”š”
On 28th July 2023, I received email from CovaU that they will take care the whole transfer, i don't need to bother
What happens next?

Today i called to CovaU they mentioned the meter reading was not done on time and most recent meter reading scheduled today 6/Sep/2023, and they didn't even transferred yet!!!!
Basically someone didn't do their job of reading meter on time.
What's the point of changing the service provider, if system still allow the previous provider to rip-off?
Whom should I complain on this matter?

It looks to me Aussies are paying most of income to feed energy providers
