well its ultrawide, 1000R and high refresh rate, but older threads say its a meh/avg monitor.
2560x1440 isn't ultrawide.
My bad, yep its not
In the absence of reviews stating the monitor is tuned to avoid it, I'd be wary of VA ghosting at high refresh rates.
the 34" ultrawide version in this G5 series has been confirmed to have some of the worst VA black smearing of all time…
don't know about this one, though :)
There's review data, this is not fast VA. This is an avoid for gaming.
No better than the cheap Samsung QHD 144Hz monitors from 2-3 years ago, and the pricing should arguably be even lower.
Yeah wasn't sure it was the same model or not because of the B on the end and didn't wanna jump to conclusions. Kinda nuts this old VA is still hanging around this price
32" version for $301 at Samsung store, if you add in a ~16$ usb-c cable and use the $50 off newsletter code
$50 newsletter code? Is that from the Samsung site?
Yep
You can use the $50 coupon for 27inch as well to make that $249 ?
Min $350 spend to be able to use the coupon
Was looking at G51C 32in. Which one is better? G51C or G55TB?
I think G51C is the newer model at 165hz
Currently have a 34" Ultrawide and looking for a second portrait oriented monitor for work. Does anyone know if curved makes things weird, and does anyone have experience with submitting something with 'gaming' in the name for tax? It's just a monitor afterall.
Ive always just submitted it for tax as "Computer monitor" and havent had any issues so far.
I use dual curved landscape and dual portrait flat monitors at work. I personally think curved portrait looks weird.
any idea how this fairs for a m1 macbook air 2020?
For those asking
THIS …is NOT
Repeat..NOT a good panel..even at this price.. get the gigabyte one for 60 bucks more..
This has some of the most ungodly Smearing you will ever see
Which Gigabyte one?
Probably just about any Gigabyte one it would seem… the response times and viewing angles on this one are just atrocious.
But which are only $60 more? Pretty sure they are way more than just $60 more.
Do you recommend any other cheapie primarily for web browsing, youtube and the occasional gaming 10% if that.
Same price at Scorptec.
They also have the Acer ED270UP 27inch VA QHD 165Hz Curved Gaming Monitor for $269

Is this worth it? No USB-C though and no speakers.
