Woolworths Everyday Market Incompetence

Hi all, (Admin please remove if in the wrong forum and refer me to the correct one)

I would like to warn you about buying anything from Woolworth's Everyday Markets in the near future. From a site riddled with bugs and Online forms that do not work to THE ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER service (Mr Magoo himself can do a better job), this business and their sellers are some of the absolute WORSE.

I purchased a gym equipment that was faulty from the seller 'Saver Cart'. To get it solved (nothing yet), I've had to deal with 30+ emails/Calls, deal with countless different customer representatives, all giving me different information. I've sent in the evidence, then was told to fix it myself by the seller, then I was given a courier for pickup BY THEIR TEAM. I waited all day, contacted the courier for confirmation, there was no consignment number and no details about any pickup from my house. I wasted one day waiting by the door DESPITE being told by EVERYDAYMARKET that they will be arriving to pick it up. BY TWO DIFFERENT REPS.

I Contacted them back organised another courier for today, Monday. Took time off my other countless responsibiltiies, waited by the door from 9 to 5, confirmed with the courier but THEY NEVER PICKED IT UP. I call the supervisor, MEANINGLESS APOLOGIES, he has to gain permission from the seller to refund me and that is might not even be a possibility judging by how INCOMPETENT AND DISGRACEFUL BOTH SAVER CART AND EVERYDAY MARKETS have been.

Now I'm waiting on lodging a complaint with consumer protection to get a remedy somehow. This post is meant as a warning. The Seller is SAVER CART and market is WOOLWORTHS EVERYDAY MARKET. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER TO A PRODUCT THAT WORKS.

This post means as a warning to potential buyers…Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Everyday Market from Woolworths is an online marketplace where you can buy products from sellers like Big W and Pet Culture, and they’ll ship them directly to you.

Everyday Market items are sold by our Everyday Market partners, and are not sold by Woolworths, and are shipped separately from your Woolworths items.

Products are sold by Everyday Market Partners and delivered separately to groceries.

You purchased an item from a third-party seller on their platform. It wasn't sold by Woolworths but they're the middle people with the partner so will rarely get a quick or straight-forward resolution. Typical advice is to avoid third-party sellers on any platform.

Yes. That’s what they told me. Right-o, that’s a lesson. But wow I am absolutely shocked about how incompetent Every Market has been. It has been like pulling teeth. Nevertheless, the seller jerking me around like they have is absolutely abhorrent. If someone can read my post and learn from my mistake, I’ll be a happy camper.

Would you say the same about Amazon?
Amazon hosts 3rd party sells to and yet their customer service is immaculate.
Have some perspective, don’t gauge everything with a black and white perspective. Maybe op’s case is a one off.

Third parties that ship themselves on Amazon usually aren't as good. Rare as anything these days because it's not worth shipping yourself from Amazon (the fees are enormous). If Amazon ship it you usually deal with Amazon to return it who always favour the customer.

But when it comes to Kogan/Catch/Bunnings/any other third party marketplace it's just the major retailer leasing out their name to collect a portion of sales while they hold zero responsibility. I avoid them like the plague.

        • I get it but I have ordered stuff from Amazon’s 3rd party sellers before. Had issues twice, Amazon’s chat was great both times and refunded me instantly on one occasion.

Having said that, I have no clue on how good/bad other selling platforms are..

Yep, this is 100% correct. It's bad enough dealing with some of these "no name" companies as is, let alone when there is a "third party marketplace" that (other than collecting their clip) typically ranges from just getting in the way to being a convenient way for the actual seller to hide.

Hahaha yeah it’s a bit much. Imagine taking time off two consecutive Mondays in a row and being kicked in the sack like this.

Just do a charge back, if the item is not fit for its purpose.

  • I purchased with a gift card.

      Gold 👍

First purchase with a random third party seller and payment made with GC.

      • Too many ADAxxHS to keep track of, even got the 1st post in there. At least this OP didn’t ghost their own thread.

        • The GC is the innocent victim in this incompetence triangle…

  • yeah but how good are those everyday rewards points? and the everyday rewards member only discounts?? and the everyday rewards i cant afford to eat here anymore prices!!??

Relax …. ALDI prices are the same

      • Must be something special in Aldi products.

        • Employee discount? German heritage?

          • @[Deactivated]: "Artificial" sweeteners…

            • @randomusername2017: Special consignment?

              • @[Deactivated]: Aldi shoppers.. Good Different Special

                • @randomusername2017: True.
As an Aldi shopper, the less fwits that discover the benefits the better. There's already a Nimrod army trying to make Aldi replicate the majors, and all it's doing is forcing Aldi prices upwards, which will mean the other mobs will slide up as well. Strayan consumers are their own worst enemies.Lazy and entitled has consumed the egalitarian ethos we once bragged about.
The biggest problem with shopping at Aldi are the blow-ins.If they don't get spoon fed they wet themselves

    • You have to figure out the system that works for you. I won't shop Everyday Market because it doesn't work for me but the Everyday Rewards program has been wonderful for my household once I learned to stack points and shop the sales.

  • Episode sounds more like Australia Post than a retailer
