These products typically arrive quicker with some in a week.

Eligible products will have a Choice Day banner and will say "US $2 off orders US $15+ & US $4 off orders US $30+ & US $6 off orders US $45+" near the price. These discounts stack with AliExpress and seller coupons.

    @WatchNerd

    Over to you now.

Be careful and always make sure you pay with a card/service that allows chargeback.

I bought a cheap pair of binoculars and got sent a pair of plastic sunglasses. When I raised a dispute with AliExpress they said the seller doesn’t sell sunglasses so no way could it be from them and closed the dispute.

Interesting thinking from their part that someone has only access to items from their own store. So by that logic if a store doesn’t sell food, the seller must be starving because no way can the seller get their hands on food.

      Always film a unbox video.

      • +7

If I had to film every aliexpress parcel I opened …

I don’t see how that is proof. No way to really verify things.

        • +1

It's the best proof you can provide. If you include the shipping label it'll show the order number, followed by the unopened package being opened and the contents inside.

I recently received a full refund by having a broken order ontop of the packaging with the shipping label in view.

@Clear: Congrats, you might be the first person to achieve a refund off AliExpress. I tried once and they asked me to take a video of my DAC (a tiny piece of aluminium without any lights on it that plugs into earphones) not working. Fun fact: it looks exactly the same whether its working, malfunctioning, or not plugged in.

            • +1

@umexcuseme: I got refunded from AliExpress many times, ask for video or photo to proof faulty item is a standard procedure, otherwise anyone can say the item is not working and get a free item. In your case, you might show them that the headphones is working without the DAC, but not working with the DAC.

@Richardc: That's idiotic. Also, I suggest not buying so much low quality trash if you need to get so many refunds.

    • Yep. I recently ordered some stuff to be delivered to my workplace. They obviously addressed it won't because auspost rejected it. When I complained they said it was my fault for supplying the wrong address and closed the dispute with no recourse. I'd had something else delivered to that address from another AliExpress seller the week before.

(profanity) them. By the time you factor in lost time and lost products you may as well order from Amazon and get customer service.

  • Hi @Clear, what's the chance of spend >$300 get $30 off or more coupons again in the next week or two?

    • There's a "Trend Spotting" sale in a couple of weeks but no mention of any coupons for that. Other sales is a rugged phone spotlight after this and Xiaomi brand day at the end of the month.

  • Yeah nah, ordered a watch from them marked as “delivered“ by their logistics company and website when auspost in fact returned the item and never got a refund. Paypal has been useless with my dispute going on for 3 months now.
    Not worth the stress.

On top of that I came to the conclusion that it is better to support democratic countries with my money even if it costs more.

Australian made watches must be pretty expensive then.

    • +2

Unless you link to what you ordered it doesn't really help others. Lots of Ali watch posts from different stores on OzB & hardly any negative comments.

I’ve ordered many things from Ali before and didn’t have a problem (mostly likely because those parcels weren’t returned by Auspost). The problem wasn’t the store that sold the watch but Ali itself, YTO Global logistics company they used marked the item as delivered once it was handed to Auspost to make it worst they didn’t give me the tracking number linked to Auspost. Auspost returned the parcel to sender.
So now I have a tracking number from AliExpress that shows “delivered” but was just delivered to the suburb where Auspost distribution center is and not to me. And Auspost returned the item.
Because it is marked as “delivered” they don’t want to give me a refund. So they want to keep the parcel returned and my money. I’m not going to go bankrupt for because of $95 yet it’s just wrong for Ali to keep my returned parcel AND my money.
        That’s the gist of it.

So all goes well until it doesn’t. I’m done buying stuff from there and just telling my experience and people can spend their money whatever way they want.

Just have a look at the tracking number of the stuff you bought and have a look if they gave you a matching Auspost tracking number or not. For the ones that doesn’t have a matching Auspost tracking number think about what would happen if Auspost had returned those parcels.

All my stuff from my last order around the 18/08 arrived over the last week. Most combinded, and some by themselves. So bascially two weeks shipping.

BTW, ended up getting the Chuwi Hi 10X Pro for about ~110AUD landed. Already came with a silcone case and screen protector already applied. Using for sheet music so while the screen res is not great, its perfect for my use. It's also pretty snappy, screen is nice, and responsive. Andriod 13 and no bloat. Pretty amazing value.
