Finally… the cloud has been revealed (:P) The specs looks great! What do you all think? For me, I'm definitely upgrading from iPhone 4… but… price price price… how much do you reckon it will cost for telco mobile plans?
Telstra had such a great deal last time round on the iphone 4 launch… upfront $250 + $49 ($400 cap) with 3GB internet data….
I soooo hope they can do the same or even better this time for the number 5!

Hmm. Comparing to iPhone 4S — YES! Dual core A6 chip is also interesting and wonder how that will stack up against other ARM implementations used in other phones. Again, I think Australia might miss out on the LTE…

Definitely an improvement over iPhone 4S. Not too sure about iOS 6 though with removal of some Google applications. Feels like downgrade to me.
I won't comment on how it compares with phones from other vendors though :)

I thought the phone has the same launch price in US so maybe it would be very similar here — subsidised by plan or buying outright from AppleAU store. I am actually a bit interested in the new iPod Touch with 4" screen. Hopefully it's as cheap as the current iPod Touch. I need an iOS device for development…
Pretty sure LTE is being supported worldwide (including Australia on Telstra and Optus)
Thanks for clarification. Yeah just read the news again so LTE is going to work on Telstra and Optus 4G. I just wasn't sure as The new iPad's 4G wasn't working here.

I've got an iphone 4 as well and am planning to upgrade as well. But I wanna get rid of this one. But I can't figure out how I should go about getting mine. If I sell mine first to cover ~$450 out of $699, I get stuck without a phone. If I get the other one first, the value of this one goes down in the mean time.

I'm guessing you don't have a backup phone. Just depends how long you can live without you phone. I'd buy it first then sell your phone. Make sure you have a nanosim, it could be a while if you are tpg, live connected, amaysim etc.
yeah i guess you're right…any idea on whether Woolworths will be getting them cursed nano-sims? I'm on their $30 45day prepaid plan and would rather not switch. But I guess if i have to, I'm looking at LiveConnected…
