Hey danilochan,
I can't enter the coupon code. It doesn't do anything and the shipping is $12.95. Can you fix this for me please.
Also, is this a direct import product?
EDIT: Does it really take 1-2 weeks to arrive in AU? It would be good if it arrives in 3-4 days.
Hi Billlian,
1)
you just need to enter coupon code "SSDSALE", and your postcode into shopping cart and click "update qty"
2)
Kingston and Samsung - AU stock (arrive in 2 - 5 working days)
Sandisk - Direct Import (arrive in 5 - 10 working days)
All comes with AU warranty.
Thanks for the speedy reply. VERY tempting. If only you have Samsung 830 256GB, that would kill the rest.
How these drive compare to the 180Gb Intel 330 SSD for only $145 ?
Intel is the most reliable, but these are all good brands, whether you need Intel's extra reliability is up to you.
Hey where can you get that from?
i think i go with the intel 330, since it use lesser power ( 0.85W ) compare to 15W of Samsung 830
EDIT: I wait still Christmas time …
15W cannot be right for a SSD…
According to Samsung's website its 0.12W for 256GB SSD.
lol,, epic fail
Would it worth it if I put in a sandisk SSD 120GB in a Asus netbook?
Thanks
Probably, though it depends on the netbook in question and the use to which you put it. For many tasks an SSD won't really make much of a difference.
Computers frequently feel like they get slower over time, even when not infected by malware or a million programs at startup. Fragmentation is often the cause (installing new software, uninstalling, installing new software again, creating data files and deleting others, etc).
An SSD will not be affected by fragmentation as there is no physical head that needs to fly all over the platters, so the computer will still feel responsive as time passes.
Of course, as with any computing advice, it always depends on how the computer is used. If you don't use the computer heavily, it can be defragged well, so fragmentation will be less of an issue. An SSD will still make a netbook feel more responsive though, thanks to its sub-millisecond random access time.
Bummer, didn't notice the coupon code. Any way to fix it?
Hey danilochan,
I read heaps of bad review of your store. They are mainly in regards of warranty. Many people say that you either wont honor the warranty or you would take months to process it.
Would you comment on this?
Hi Brillian
All of our items comes with warranty service, unless specified. There 2 main type of warranty.
Replacement warranty; item will be replacement with our new stock once confirmed faulty, it's normally take up to 1 week for the replacement sent out.
Manufacturer Warranty (with 30 DOA replacement warranty); Within 30 days of purchase, replacement warranty service will be provided. After the DOA period, item will be re-directed to authorized repairer, and it will take 10 to 30 working days. If we cannot provide a repaired unit within this period a replacement will be provided
Another question, do you know if Sandisk in Australia would support imported items?
Already stated has AU warranty 3rd comment
Most likely its an AU warranty provided by shopping square, not the manufacturer, so brillians question is valid.
are either of these a 7mm ssd to fit a Lenovo laptop e320?
Sandisk is 9.5 so no
would go well in any netbook…
not sure about the price though… $195 to walk in and buy at MSY… walk out 5 minutes later…
lol + line up 45 minutes… thats what i did on the weekend at the Auburn store lol … Never again will i go back to Auburn MSY
Sandisk 120GB is cheaper to buy locally if picked up. I got it from MSY about a month ago for $97. I think it's cheaper now.
Not a really good customer experience with this seller, Purchased 2xUSB 32GB for more than a week now. Still not received. Post was sent back to seller without telling me any reason now they are asking for additional $4 to pay first then they will post.
No contact number to call to get in touch, Only online portal and they reply like next day, then u reply then wait for next day. Seriously that is worst customer service ever seen.
I will not purchase any thing else or recommend any of my friend to buy anything from them
How do i know if my laptop can handle a SSD. My laptop is a first gen i3 campaq HP
All these SSD are SATA3 interface, does it make much different with SATA6?
SATA6? SATA4 isn't due till 2014. If your laptop has SATA2 then you can still use these and get considerable performance improvements over a standard HDD.
my bad it was SATA 6GB/s … How do i know which SSD ( 7mm or 9mm ) fit to my laptop
Take out your current drive and measure it.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+do+i+know+which+SSD+(+7mm+or+9mm+)+fit+to+my+laptop
SATA wise the SSDs are backwards compatible, so no need to worry about it.
man, sandisk is a good drive,.. if you raid 0 two 240gb's that would be bloody impressive, and cost just $339… thats a fantastic price for supper fast half a TB of ssd… prob be worth while getting 4 of these and doing away with all hhds in pc and getting a nas. the time has come!
Waste of time and money, you will saturate the link and likely see barely any improvement by raiding them.
Holy crap I paid around $250 for the 250GB Sandisk not more than a few months ago! Hard disk died though so didn't have a choice on timing.
I'd like to buy a sandisk 120G
That's awesome. Congrats!
F***, nice one bro. WHens the party?
I have gone on a personal vendetta against this mob.
Purchased Asus EEE Slate on the 13th of September and all I have so far is a "Confirmed Payment" status.
No reply to etickets nor any response via Paypal Dispute.
Furthermore, they change their "estimated shipping dates" automatically (I have proof of this) if there are delays with the shippment.
Idiots.
nice price on the 240GB Sandisk!
