Oh man!!!! I shall find this post earlier!!!!
This tool is amazing!!! Definitely worth the RRP, the discount makes it even more attractive, shall I get another one for my 3 years old to help me with the garden work

  • Why on earth does this exist?

Everything is bigger in Texas (and Queensland).

      Other places need smaller chainsaws.

      • (for those not into classic horrors, this is a reference to "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre")

Same price at all Sithl dealers currently, recently purchased one from a Stihl shop.

    • I am told this pricing is due to go live at all stihl dealers on the 1st of sep.

  • Like the design.

  • Was tempted by this a while ago but don't quite see the point when a pair of loppers or a decent hand saw will do the job. Already have Stihl pruner multitool attachment and a small chainsaw for taller/bigger branches.

I have this, find it very useful for backyard pruning. There's a lot of things that I struggle to use secuteers on that this gets through with ease. And much quicker than a hand saw for bigger stuff.
I don't think it's perfect though. There is no ability to tension the chain (even though it says you can in the manual you actually can't). Also strappy side branches/twigs/sawdust tend to get caught up under the cover and can knock the chain out of place.
