    T&C's says $5 bonus

Should it be the $200 challenge? Typo??

    • +1

Hopefully, $5 bonus on a $200 spend is terrible.

      • +1

Well they have a get $5 after buying $500 lol

        • It's a different type of promo, a month long and not Westpac exclusive. But you knew that, it's still pretty crappy though and deserves to be called out.

  • +1

    SB is on a rooolll..

I’m willing to bet the $5 in T&C is another copy pasta typo from the previous one we had ($5 on $50).

    • +8

Yup! Another day, another dipsh** move by Shopback. No idea who is running that clown show but they've no clue how to do anything professionally.

Cashrewards FTW. At least they track purchases properly.

      • -2

Maybe CrapRewards have better processes but ShopBack have far superior deals in my view, as long as they track. I've had to follow up more than I'd like but they have resolved the issues

        • -1

I can't deny that Sh*tback have superior deals (except for their gift card bonuses like on Amazon GC's - CR has them beat there). But if you need to continually chase them up for almost every one of those "superior" upsized deals, the ROI becomes diluted to the point where it almost ends up being a fruitless endeavour.

The key takeaway in your comment is "as long as they track". Since the chances of them not tracking are far greater than them actually tracking, you've basically agreed with me.

I can confirm it is $20 cashback, bought a $200 card and it said reward of $20 in my account.

    So 10%, not too bad.

    • +1

Ty for confirming. 10% bonus cb is pretty much the max bonus these days.. defn not too bad @all…

    • +1

      12%*

    • I can also confirm the $20 bonus cashback.

  • +5

Obligatory reminder to split the purchases into smaller denomination ($10/$15/20 etc) to make it easier to work in conjuction with Westpac bonus cashbacks at checkout 👍

    • No compute.

    • -1

What would that make it easier?
Edit: Oh I get it after I got my $200 card, 🤦
The idea is use smaller denominations for split payment with westpac

    • +2

Eg. U buying a $100 item. If you paid $95 with (12% discounted) GC and $5 with WP (when it has bonus cb), you’d be saving 12% * 95 = $11.4 from the GC portion alone.
As opposed to if you paid using $50 GC, which will only save you 12% * $50 = $6.
Bottomline: pay as much as possible with discounted GC and as little as possible with WP to maximize savings.

      • -1

Maybe your item is $201 ;)

    • +2

Also do note that when you use an eBay GC it gets automatically linked to that eBay account so if there's any funds left over you can only use it on that account.

I had issues when I was using only some money from the gift cards where eBay didn't store them. So the next time I had to add these cards once again. It's just crazily inconvinient. You have to keep tracking the cards and amounts you have used.

        • +1

          Yes that's a cluster on eBay's part.

I bet it's done deliberately as hard to track means many people will have expired gift cards.

        • +1

I have actually lost credit like that, as I thought it was automatically kept there always as it seemed to do that. So once i used part of it, i would mark as used the gift card. And then a while later i noticed, the credit wasnt there anymore. Pretty dodgy.

        • +1

Also if you need to refund order (or seller cancels), it gets refunded onto the same gift card used to pay - argh! I end up leaving them in truerewards/prezzee/shopback wallet for a few weeks after I've received an order and know I won't need to refund it.

  • Good deal, thanks OP.

  • -4

Anyone able to pay with Coles Mastercard?

    • +3

You have to pay with Westpac card for this deal

  • Yeah, looks like typo. Got the $20 extra cashback

  • Got the $20, thanks

  • Got $20 thanks
    948 participants now, hurry up

  • Thx DB. Got $25x 8 cards - bonus and standard cashback has tracked . 12% overall - not too shabby .

  • Good deal!

  • Can't find it in the ShopBack app.
Only have $5 for $20 GC, 1500 rewards in total. 319 claimed.

    • +1

      • Thanks!

  • Thanks got one
$5 for $50 finished last night, looks typo

    $24 (20+4 regular cb)is very good deal, works 12%

  • Only says $4 yet says successfully linked. Very confused.

  • Can anyone confirm if this is still active or expired??

    • Says expired 31/8 for me.

Edit: Is it still available for you? Can you click out from it? I noticed that eBay GCs have disappeared too (most likely temporary).
