You can always mod it, change it to better switches.
Original g502 going strong after 6 years with daily use. Have one at work that’s 7 years old too. Bought a new one off Amazon a year ago and noticed the cable isn’t braided and the clicks feel different.
Yeah Logitech changed what switches that were going into them a few years ago (2020?), that and your old one will be more used so probably would feel less stiff.

My og version omd switch going strong since for about 5y, i like the heavy weights. Thats why i havent yet upgraded to the X model or replaced it….
I'd go for for the G502 X, the X has new switches. The old one was rubbish. Had 2 that failed after less than 2 years.
